For those that enjoyed Russel Peters comedy, you will probably enjoy Dat Phan. I partically like his impersonations.

I remember him, and Ralphie May were the best on Last Comic Standing, but he was my favorite XD I bet he lives near me

The fact the words "Comedy" and "Dat Phan" are being used as if they somehow fit together perfectly (thus implying Dat Phan is funny) is saddening. He's a hack with one of the most one dimensional acts in the history of stand-up comedy (and may in fact actually be Margaret Cho) and the total antithesis of the words "funny" and "comedy".

He's not bad. I maybe LOLed 2-3 times during that, but he's got nothing on Russell Peters.

How is it racist? The guy is not funny. I saw him on the bit of LCS I watched. I TRIED watching his Comedy Central Presents special. The guy's entire act centers around the fact he's Asian. "lol look at me, I'm Asian and my mother has a funny voice isn't this hilarious?"

No. No it's not. It takes more than a "funny voice" and pointing out that you're Asian to to be funny. I made the comparison to Margaret Cho since his act is basically her's; only change "Korean" to "Vietnamese" and "Grandmother" to "Mother". He's part of what's wrong with comedy right along with Carlos Mencia (who isn't edgy in the least, just a joke stealing douchebag) and Last Comic Standing in general (since LCS isn't about finding the BEST comedian, just the most marketable).

I have to agree with Pretentious on Dat Phan's act, there's not alot of variety to it and it doesn't really cover alot, the fact that he does centre his entire act on him being asian gets old really quick. But he did make a few good jokes, unfortunately its only good the first time you hear them

Ok, to be serious I didn't find him nearly as funny as Russell Peters, but you don't see Vietnamese comedians everyday...
