I want to build a small Japan-wiki using dokuwiki (not MediaWiki, which everyone and their mothers use). It would also have a small 2ch-style board to go with.
Is anyone remotely interested in helping administrate it? I need someone who knows their shit about webstuff (like myself) and who has some time. I don't have time to fully monitor those things, both of which require some work.
So yeah, just throwing it out there. Suggestions or comments towards a Japan wiki would also be appreciated.
It would get abused/ruined by 4chantards. I seriously think a wiki with good intentions is a great idea, but for that reason alone I will not bother with it. Good luck.

I want it to be small though. Not anything that would even attract the attention of /b/tards.

How do you plan to keep out people who sit around and search for "japan" on google all day?

From the wiki or board?

I don't mean to further shit on this idea, because it is a good one.
However, you know "Japan" encompasses all kinds of ideas, locations, people and various tidbits right? If you're planning for this to be small and out of the public eye, exactly how are you going to even try and manage having as many articles required to be established as even a useful wiki?
Maybe pick something smaller that you like. I for one wouldn't mind some sort of english Onsen wiki guide. I would love for a complete guide with information to all the various onsens. I live for hot baths with old naked strangers.

That's hot.
Personally, I'd like to make a Central Tokyo guide that uses a members-only structure so that people couldn't put in useless information without submitting for review. The wikis on parts of Tokyo are largely uninformative and copypasted from Frommer's.

I don't know much about Tokyo or Onsens though. I stayed in Osaka ;<
