Okay, I'm not sure IF anyone has ever dealt with this issue, but it is one of the most anoying things in the world to me. WHY THE HELL DO PEOPLE INSIST ON READING WHAT YOU TYPE ON THE FU!&*@$ (com)PUTER SCREEN!?
I'm @ school of course, and I figured I'd hop on the internet to check out some stuff. Well I'm just surfing the world wide web as any bored person would, when this girl decides she is going to sit at the computer next to me. Now mind you I'm not really paying attention to her, but every time I'd wait for a page to load(on this slow ass computer), I'd catch her looking at my screen. Now yah, the 1st time no problem - but then she kept doing it..now this has happened to me before, and yeah being in a public place I'm force to deal with snoops. Welp..sure enough just as I go to press the next key..there she is...and so on..welp finally I get pissed and decide to go to the most offensive porn site I could think of. The look on her face when she happened to gaze at my screen again! I kept it up for a few seconds, even watched a 5 second video clip. I'm surprised the school didn't have this blocked off. Dah well. Heh..so I continue to go through the site, heck even smirked at her when she looked my way again...she finally decides to leave...shame I had to resort to such tactics.
Hmm maybe next time I'll start playing with myself at the same time..that should really f8ck up someone's day.
You handled that nicely! She won't try that again soon. :D

It's the same impulse that makes people read the paper over your shoulder. *shrug*

Nice. If you could have stomached it, tubgirl would have also been a suitable site to get someone to stop looking at your monitor:D

Maybe its just me, but I would have used the opportunity to strike up a conversation with her.

Here's a novel idea:
Why not just ask her why she's looking at your screen? Maybe she's bored at looking at hers and finds yours more interesting. Maybe she's not as good a typist or at google-fu and wants to learn from you. Maybe she's so bored that she'd rather look at other people's internet musings than surf the net on her own. Or maybe she just wants to talk to you.
I mean seriously, is she that butt ugly that you didn't want to talk to her? It can't be that you're anti-social - you're social enough to post your true feelings on a virtual bulletin board read by the world. So, what's the deal w/ not talking?

sometimes ppl are just curious
she might have not been doing it on purpose
and if she was cute
you ruined your chance.
Also...going to that site isnt smart. What if she tells someone? do you enter a password to go to it? Because then it could be in your history
Ppl at my school got onto a site and were suspended
mind you that was like....7 or 8? years ago.

True! - Very True. I Could Have Asked Her, But Then You Might As Well Ask Every Single Person Who Ever Looks Right? Common Sense = Kill Joy. Hmm but at the same time, if she wanted to talk, she could have spoke right? See that goes both ways like a bi sexual in a threesome.
Katie,
There is really no way to put this, but she didn't appeal to me. Yeah I could have made a cool friend, perhaps, but that wasn't my agenda. It wouldn't have been so bad if she wasn't checking the email I sent to my friend. Word of advice.. never silently move your lips while reading..might give off something.
Now I saw caught that the minute I go to turn my cell off. Then everything else fell into place
Hmm..but that brings me to this:
Never call someone butt ugly, because an ass is a beautiful thing.

If placed in this position I can see going to fatchicksinpartyhats.com or even better, going to this site and making this post while she is watching.

No, you don't have to ask every single person who ever looks. Only those that bother you. To me that would mean giving people who look once or twice a free pass. Maybe you're more easily irritated? ;)
I prefer to think of it as common sense = lower blood pressure, or talking = less pent up anger. And it may surprise you but sometimes people actually do not talk even when they want to. Its fairly common in movies and sitcoms - especially the drama/comedy ones where you get to hear the character's inner voice.
Oh well, its your karma, not mine.
Hmm, I hope you guys aren't posting porno sites, even if it IS just "blahblah.com". That still goes against the rules and I don't wanna see any of you banned. ><
Okay, carry on.

I think it was a DUMB move.
All she had to do was complain once and your arse would be in hot water if colleges/schools were your from are anything like Aussie Uni's.
Tssss..

yes, asses ARE beautiful things. (as long as its a good ass and not a flabby one)

Yep, totally agree.
It was still a nice way to get rid of her though.

actually in my defense it is not as much a porn site as it is a feeble attempt at somebody trying to be insulting to random people who posted their pictures on the internet. I only mention it because it tends to get a universally bad responce from anyone who visits. The problem with going to a porn or a site like rotten is that there is a possibility that they are into something like that. So instead of having someone who bugs you, you now have someone who bugs you who thinks you have something in common with them.
Yeah, after a quick log on to fatchicksinpartyhats I realised it wasn't porno. I think I saw a few other sites though.

Yeah, but I took a risk knowing my own limits. More so, I understand that people are "shy," so this may hinder them from talking. Basically I took advantage of the situation. Minus all the sillyness, I could have easily went to another computer if I felt that my space was truly being invaded. I could have even said hello to her in attempt to drive her attention away from the monitor, and to me.
Guess after a while, I got tired of the same old game. So I spiced it up a bit. I've noticed people watching my screen when I type a private msg to someone. It would be silly to supsect people in a public place would still honor privacy right? Public = without privacy.
I got my kicks washed, what else can I say.
Do this often? Nope. I'm sure everyone here has played the villian once in a while(even when ya knew it could get you into some trouble).
And would I do this again, most likely but only within limits.

Thats my thoughts exactly.
like I said. Ppl at my school were suspended.
I just dont get why ppl don't just say something if they are so annoyed.
If you don't want her reading something
and since you said it was your email msg (I think) you could have just been like "want me to forward you a copy or something"
Or just be like "do you mind not looking at my screen?"
oh well tho!
its just not what Id do.

One time, I was typing out some homework on one of the school computers, some idiotic student just stops and reads behind my back from what I'm typing.
He starts mouthing out what I'm typing, and so, to make him get out, I made the font huge, made it bold, and typed in "IF YOU CAN READ THIS, CONGRATULATIONS, YOU PASSED ESL," and turned slowly on my chair, having that faint, Angry-Asian-expression written on my face.
Funny thing was, he didn't know what he was reading, and he thought I haven't noticed him reading until I turned around.

The next time this happens just sit there calmly, open your e-mail, and start writing an e-mail that goes, "Dear Mom: So, bad news. Not only is the rash still contagious, but it's spreading like crazy."
