I know that when you're young and the hormones are raging, and sex is something that you're just starting out with and can't get enough of, that you feel that 'society' is 'keeping you down' and therefore it's your duty to fight against the system.
Then you hit your 20's, have been around the block, and realize that it isn't actually the system that keeps you down, it's common courtesy. You have a good point. The only reason I'm discussing my sex life at all on this forum is because no one here knows me personally, so I don't feel embarrassed about it. Also, everyone else is doing it, so I don't mind chiming in about my personal experiences.

There is nothing embarrassing about pointing out, for instance, that you had to have a urine sample taken for your physical the other day. Everyone gets it done. It's nothing special or extraordinary or 'taboo.' However, 9 out of 10 people around you would think that it was unecessary to discuss it in public, including, most likely, the person you told it to.
It's not because the subject itself is taboo (though that is the case with sex), but because it is a private thing. And yes, society believes that there should be a divide between 'public' and 'private' information, even if you don't, but it isn't solely in regards to sex. For instance, most people don't seem to rebel against the concept that how much money you have in your wallet, your pin number, or your credit card number should be kept from other folks, let alone announced in public.
What you are having an issue with is the taboos towards sex and being talked about even in private which is quite different from the issue I'm bringing up about private matters (including sex) being talked about in public. I understand what you're trying to say, but this is something else entirely.
The only reason that the male population here is being so supportive is because it turns them on. I can tell you quite frankly that the male population wouldn't be nearly as supportive if I discussed my (hypothetical) fetish for prostate stimulation by electric shock, and how I (hypothetically) get off on thoughts of OP9 male posters pissing in the shower.

Well, I'm older than both of you, and I basically agree with Pierrot. Maybe some minor differences in how we process the concepts, but basically he's correct. Not sure if the self-proclaimed "LeetMaster" was merely trying to endear himself to Mariko, but Pierrot has always been respectful in his agreement or disagreement with the views of other posters. He's certainly one of the more well-liked members of the forum.
I'd hardly say that his lack of regard for the opinion of a forum poster he doesn't know is immature or arrogant. Opinions are like assholes as the saying goes, some stink more than others. Oh I agree with you regarding the popularity thing. That is how I meant it, that you are popular because people like your personality and how you express yourself. I have no doubt you can be abrasive when you disagree with someone. I can be too. I merely meant you still respect their right to have the opinion that you disagree with. However, you may very likely not respect the actual opinion.
Regarding Mariko being a guy, I was laughing rather loudly through most of page 5. It explains at least why when I was disagreeing with some of the things Mariko said, I found myself thinking, "This chick is kind of clueless about sex."

Totally, I agree. There are a couple of threads in the GD forum where I and others get serious but mostly I find that this is a plac to spazz out. I find the Mariko thing completely normal for this forum. I've poppin in and out of BBS and chatrooms for close to twenty years and 90% of them have been just like this one.
All serious threads and chatrooms have a declaritive sentence saying what is going on there. Nearly all people who want to fuck around avoid those places like the plague. That's why I'm so amazed anybody gets offended on these threads. I mean, what do these people expect? Who cares if someone says your penis is small or that you like it in the ass? It's not likely you're ever going to meet that person. It's really easy to blow off ( no pun intended) someone. Just click ignore! It's that simple people. I'm going to click ignore on all the people that say I'm too vulgar. That way I'll never hear anyone complain so I can be as rude and obnoxious as I want to be( so long as the admin says I can. :p ) :D

I saw someone who I though was a fun person being attacked and went to their defence. I do that IRL too. Ocassionally I get my ass handed to me but most of the time my actions lead to a more desirable conclusion.
I have to admit that part of my annoyance came from some of the other acts of prudery in this particular section of the forum. It irks me that in the board originally designated at the Kancho area talk about regular, healthy sex gets slammed. Shrug. It's a peeve of mine I guess...

I just want to point out for a moment that pierrot's opinions are rather abrasive and can be taken the wrong way by one who is offended easily, but sometimes it takes a harsh reality check or... well abrasiveness to understand something. I know because even if I seem nice on this board in real life I am a cruel guy who can make people cry when they come to me for help. I have a tendency to be a no bullshit guy. :o
