Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8

If any Buffy fans haven't heard of it, Season 8 is being done as a comic book series. I picked up the first three issues of it while I was in the US just after Golden Week. Now that I'm back in Japan, I haven't been able to find anyplace in my area that carries US comics. Looks like I'll be waiting for the graphic novel collections that I'll be able to order off Amazon.

Whedon is doing Season 8 in story arcs and the first arc ran 4 issues. I thought it was very good - reminiscent of the show itself (as intended). The nice thing about doing it in comic form is that he is not limited to 22 episodes. I guess he has plans for around 50 issues at this point. The trades probably will be easier to come by than individual issues, at least outside the US.
