(I don't really want to post a review just yet; no reason, really.)

Yeah; you don't just have to rate it if you don't want to or anything. You can also post a nice review of the game, you know, if you want.

I have a feeling there might not be too many gamers here. Yeah, though; SotN is pretty fucking rad.

You need to be a fan of this style of game, but its pretty good being that its a remake of two older GBA games. Apparently, theres a new twin system that allows you to make incredible heavy hitting combos. Only downside is if you don't know Japanese, you're probably going to need a guide to be able to play it well, at the very least understand the story.

Still damn fun.

The Darkness - (Starbreeze Studios)

Let this be known: I've played and completed only the Xbox 360 version of the game. I haven't touched the PS3 version of the game, and therefore am in the dark as to any improvement or any significant difference in terms of the gameplay, easter eggs, storyline sequences, whatever. If there be any at all, that is.

With all that being stated: the intro to the game is astounding; right up to the part where the car you're in crashes head first from a pseudo-ramp into a concrete wall.

The whole first-person cinematic aspect is really a favourite of mine as well -- i.e., the previously stated car wreck afterwards has you laying on the ground in the first-person perspective. You can see Jackie's hand laying in front of you, then the screen shakes and you see Jackie (after some command prompt asks you to look at your journal -- which is where your current missions, map, and current darkness level and powers are present.) raise his hand and turn it from the back-side of his hand you see, to his palm-side. He then looks at his arm, you know: inspects himself for injuries in a first-person cinematic view. I like those in FPSs, and this game has a few good ones.

The graphics are very good, in my opinion, and the attention to detail is nothing short of fucking proper. From the veins in Jackie's hands to every individual detail on a fucking payphone; it's awesome. Everyone in the game talks with their hands too, which is very cool and very nice looking; and instead of a loading screen you get Jackie sitting in the spotlight of a very dark room explaining some of his life, some things about said environment you're about to enter, or things about the current progrees of the storyline, and sometimes he just fondles these two really cool looking pistols and doesn't say a damn thing. It's better than the average 'Now Loading' screen (which really doesn't bother me at all though).

The game was too short though, and the sidequests -- while different each-- just didn't seem very satisfying when completed, because all you get is this crumpled up piece of paper with a phone number you call to unlock a bonus something or another on the title screen (same old shit). It just seems like: 'Oh great, another phone number that I can unlock concept art with, woo-hoo.' You can use the payphone whenever you find one and call any number, you'll just hear random shit though. You can even call some of the numbers on said papers you find scattered throughout the game if you manage by luck to call them, or just look up a FAQ, and you'll still get the unlocked content. Some of the messages are entertaining, and some are just haunting. There's something or another with secret phone numbers spread throughout the game on the walls, on billboards, the ground; just different places. You find and call all of them and you get something, I'm not real sure, but it's probably nothing worth-while (different from the papers).

There's a few little easter eggs: the names of the Tool members are graffitied on a wall in a subway, creepy writing on the wall, some suicide jumper in one section, some things in some 'other' place besides New York (when you get there).

The execution animations were cool and very brutal; and the gunblazing was very appropriate for the gameplay and the attitude of Jackie. The Darkness' powers are pretty cool when in complete darkness, and they actually have some cool powers and shit. The game really wants you to shoot out random lights and use the darkness along with this array of weapons. It really helps sometimes too, 'cause when the darkness is being used, you have a shield. Sometimes it's almost necessary.

I think I'll ease up on the depth of the reviews from now on... I try to hard to cover everything, and I really haven't, but it's a cool game.

I going to review Def Jam: Fight for New York later when I'm done watching code monkeys

Def Jam: Fight for New York

This is the second game in so far three part series. The game is a simple fighter improving on the first game

Ehhh fuck it
Get this one instead of Def Jam: Icon I give it a 8.5 for a rubberband and sometimes cheap A.I

Tomb Raider Legacy

All in all, I give this a solid 9 out of 10. It's not as long as I'd like and the puzzles are a bit simpler than the original game was(still worth playing the original, btw, if you can find a copy).

But it is lovely. And it is free of the plague of audio and rendering problems the last Tomb Raider game was. Plus, it auto-aims for you like the original games did. AND... It's only $30. (that raised it from 7 to 9 right there - $50 games are a crime, IMO)

Game before this: Guitar Hero II.
Honestly, I give this a 7. It would be a 6 except that the multiplayer mode has bass that you can play. But it's just not as good as the original. The songs are not as enjoyable to play.

If you have to chose between GH 1 and GH 2, get the original. Now, 80s edition... that might be better.

GUN - 8.5/10

Grand Theft Auto with horses and six shooters! A violent wild west romp where you fight off evil preachers, raging indians, and huge bears. A wide selection of weapons, a bullet time mode, and upgrade-able stats make for a damn good time.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - (Nintendo Co. Ltd.)

I played the Wii version; other than the game being completely mirrored to fit the mold of the right-handed person (Link being a lefty and all), I saw no difference.

To start off: I really didn't like this game personally. As a TLoZ fan, I felt Wind Waker was much more entertaining and fulfilling.

Okay: so the game is pretty much devoid of any worthwhile side-quest. Collect a few bugs for some little slut in Hyrule Castle Town; the Heart Pieces and the quests that follow are present, but it's mainly just looking in a chest and finding them; the bottles... it's not Majora's Mask quality quests, let's put it that way.

The storyline fucking loses all credibility at the end. Period.

The dungeons reek of 'been there, done that', except a few which were pretty cool (i.e., Snowpeak Ruins and Arbiter's Grounds). No; the sameness of this game's dungeons and Ocarina of Time's didn't make me like the temples any more, it just made me want to pop out Ocarina of Time. rofl.

The bosses are too easy, but the one in Arbiter's Grounds is alright.

There's a few new items you get in the dungeons, all of which are to be used to take the dungeon bosses down... again. The item you obtain in Arbiter's Grounds is pretty boss, I must add. Their pretty cool, all in all, the new gadgets I mean.

The horse battles were way too overhyped in the game's trailers and shit. lol. Sorry. The one towards the beginning is nice, too bad there weren't more like it.

The more I play the Zelda games, the more I think Link is starting to become a doof crutch for the 'side-kick's' in the game. Midna pretty much steals the show character-wise, but Link and his connections to the kids in Ordon was nice as well.

Gamecube version's probably better. Swinging that fucking 'Wiimote' around just aggrivates me. Not to mention those fucking noises coming from the 'Wiimote'. Like when you pull out the bow and arrow.

There were quite a few easter eggs in the game, which I love in Zelda games. I really thought there should've been more, eh, smaller easter eggs though instead of just a fucking big one you find out about in the game later on. By smaller ones I mean: there's this part where you go to a fishing hole (fishing IS a lot funner with the 'Wiimote', I'm betting) and the girl in charge has these pictures of her family on the wall. One picture, however, is of the fisherman in OoT. When you inspect the picture, the girl mentions him being the greatest fisherman ever, or something, and possibly being related to him. After the dialogue is over, if you look at here, she's scratching her back like the bloke himself.

The graphics were alright for Gamecube graphics, I suppose. The gameplay was lovely, with the addition of those hidden skills you find throughout the game being pretty cool. The wolf form is dissapointing -- in all honesty -- though. There's a few parts in the game were you have to find and kill these fucking bugs in wolf form, and it's really annoying. I liked the hunt in Kakariko Village, though. Other than those above, the game was pretty samey, gameplay-wise. Though, it was still pretty amazing.

The game just didn't have that, you know: charm...

Yay I knew I wasn't the only one who really didn't enjoy this game. Midna was bad ass though.

I don't even remember the last game I played through, so I'll just put up my old Twilight Princess review.

Ocarina of Time: 9.9/10 (Water Temple = -.1)
Majora's Mask: 9.6/10
The Wind Waker: 9.5/10
Twilight Princess: 9.1/10

Don't get me wrong, the game's amazing. The gameplay is better than any of the other Zelda games, and I like the art style and graphics of it best as well (although as of late I find that I really do like Wind Waker's cel-shaded style too). It's a wonderful game.

It's just... not as wonderful a Zelda game as the rest are. OoT, MM, and TWW all give me a certain "feeling" that's distinct from the feeling I get from playing other games. I want to go back into the games' worlds and explore, do all the sidequests, talk to all the characters, and defeat all the villains. My wish is granted, as there's always stuff to go back and do; there's always sidequests, there's always mini-games, there's always new places to explore.

Twilight Princess, though, cuts down on the sidequests. If I look at my strategy guide's "Diversions" section (No, I didn't use the guide to beat the game), there's only six mini-games. One is the fishing, which I haven't even tried yet but plan on doing very soon, and the rest can't be played over and over really. I don't think I'll be getting a faster score in the STAR mini-game, so there's no point in wasting Rupees (which is funny cause I don't need Rupees anyway) on that. There was also no big trading quest!

I miss the odd characters as well. The oddest character (aside from the flamboyantly gay ones) is Jovani, and I don't care enough about him to go find 60 Poe Souls. In a world as large as Twilight Princess', there's certainly not much to do outside of blowing up rocks and going into caves once the game is complete.

And the boss battles, especially the last one, were way too easy.

Saitou... thanks for mentioning Falbi, hahaha! But you have to say... Stallord was a pretty fun boss, oui?

Last game played: Halo 2. Calgarian friend made me play it.

Great game. Icon was pretty and all, but with the huge roster FFNY had, you know you couldn't resist playing Snoop Dogg fighting in pimp pants.

It was hilarious; since we were able to upload music and play by the beat in the game, we played with hardcore and metal.

It was hilarious getting hit by the car every ten seconds... DragonForce for the ultimate music... XD

Elebits: 8.5/10

This is a really fun game for the wii that makes great use of the wiimote. It reminds me a lot of a mix between Pikmin and Katamari Damacy. Basically, you're a kid in this world where these little Pikmin-esque creatures control electricity. Your parents are Elebits scientists and you hate them because your parents spend too much time on them and not you. Suddenly all the electricity is out and your parents are gone investigating it. You find your dad's capture gun and find out if you zap the elebits with them, stuff starts to power up. There are 29 stages and later you have rules like you can't break stuff or make noise. Each color elebits controls gives you a certain amount of watts and you need to collect a certain amount each stage. Also, the game is like katamari damacy because you have yellow and pink elebits that let you pick up heavier objects if you zap them. At the beginning of each stage you can only pick up a minimal amount of objects, later on after the yellow and pink elebits, you pick up larger things and find elebits under them. The game is entirely in 1st person. My minus points would come in technical issues where you can't zap the elebits, the capture gun focuses on the huge thing they're in front of instead.
