More= my new baby, my hosting of international students, my art, my disability, etc.
(Didn't know if this should be here or, entertainment.. nor if anyone would care either, heh..)
The main focus will be on the writing. I've just done my third entry, wrapping up my fiction projects. Tomorrow I start blabbing about my nonfiction. I plan to add updates about life as a host for international students, continuing on where my threads on the topic left off.
It's a pretty light read, and I break it up with a few pretty pictures where applicable.
Anyway, here it is:

That's my storefront, not that I'm pressing the selling of the first book- just that the blog looks way better there than here:

Interesting art take there. Faces seem off. But if it is what the cool kids are doing - promote yourself as much as possible.
Pretty good art i should say. When i was teenager i started drawing anime style too but i ended up drawing like THIS (http://usera.imagecave.com/shingo/gorros/beautygodess.jpg)
But now i only doing it just as a hobby...
anyway keep up your good work!

Faces seem off? Well, some of those pics are a little old, I included them mainly to illustrate something I was talking about... and I could mention that I've never wanted to mimic any specific anime style, but that could sound like a cop-out, despite being true...
I'm not specifically trying to promote so much.. if I were, I would have waited until the revision of the book was done, and/or I had another to go with it. I resisted doing blogs for ages, and finally someone on a writer's forum mentioned the effect of "You ramble on so much, who not do a proper blog?"
And I thought I'd mention it here, since I will be touching on the homestay thing in a few days, and some people here have enjoyed my rambling, blog-like threads here.
yang- aint nuttin wrong with that kinda pic. :P

I think this belongs in creativity; good job btw, ozero. Self-promotion requires a lot of effort/organization.
The story so far seems rather woah. I don't read much, but from the looks of it your book will get pretty crazy...in one way or another.
And in illustration, I heard that anime relies heavily on constructionism for results; heavy use of lines and such, and it's hard to snap out of it when you have to draw something more photo-realistic. I'm at a half point, and am not sure how I should develop myself from this point. I think Ozero has the same proportion issue as I do, only he draws differently, so on a different vein.
And Yang, why did you 'retire' from illustration?

If i was organized with self promotion, I'd be a lot busier than dropping new stuff at forums I already go to anyway. Heh.. I SUCK at self promotion...
I guess I should get into facebook, and myspace, and all those kinds of sites I hate....
And Yang, why did you 'retire' from illustration?
Cause, i started (and got tired at same time) my own business over here, and it's working pretty fine...i'm earning good money thanks to it. It's even better than earning money just by drawing and selling my illustrations to that bastard TCG company. So i quited the freelance illustrator job to dedicate my efforts to my new business and i just keeping up the illustration stuff as a simple hobby...nevertheless, if somebody asks me for a comission, i'm willing to do it in exchange of a good ammount of money.
I'm also selling my stuff as posters in anime convention, but it's just for getting in those conventions for free. lol.
You can't hold the freelancing job as a carreer in here...it's impossible...plus, life became more and more expensive... i didn't save any money throughout these years and i have to think about my future. Me and Gf made plans to get married...but first, i have to travel to japan next year to meet her family, so obviously i'm gonna need tons of money for that, so my business provides me now nice incomes.
So yeah, it's all about the money, basically...to pay bills and travel to Japan next year.

if anyone's interested at all, I've started touching on my experiences being a host for international students on the blog. I'm not guaranteeing how fast I'll update, or that there won't be other topics coming up, but I've covered all the main chunks for the writing projects, and I gush most of the 'new baby' stuff on other places. :P
