I was at a 7-11 just a few hours ago, at the cashier. A lady with her children were right behind me. One child wanted candy. The mother told him, quote "No, don't get that, or you'll be fat, like the guy in front of us".

Tell me, do you think I'd be fine with what a lady said fairly loudly in a small conveniece store?

Normally, I wouldn't be offended if someone insulted my weight, because I'm aware of my appearence.

Now, 10 seconds prior to this, she claimed she had OCD. But, that's no excuse.

I said, irritated "How nice of you to insult the appearence of someone you don't even know as if he was deaf. Very thoughtful. You're teaching your children a fine valuble lesson. It's okay to insult people who don't look very nice on the outside."

I pretty much blacked out after that. The only thing I remember after that was being in the car going home.

Now, this wasn't the only time I have been insulted at a 7-11. A few months ago, I was just getting a few things, walking by a group of people, and they started giggling and pointing, according to my mother.

Now, I shrugged this off because they were stereotyping teens probably not much older than me.

But this time. This was a fucking grown woman. WITH TWO IMPRESSIONABLE CHILDREN, no less.

Oh, and she brought her kid a Slurpee. Candy is bad for you. But a drink filled with TONS of sugar is A-OK. Yup.

Many people stick wth these kind of stereotypes throughout their lives. I think it is just an inferiority complex because , while you had a person calling you fat thinking you did not hear them, people have called relatives of mine anorexic or bulimic, even an incident when some bitches reffered to a relative as a skinny bitch in spanish, thinking we wouldn't understand.

And similarly to your incident of people not even hiding the insults, it has happened to me because of me being slightly underweight. So don't sweat it, just try not to repeat these errors.

I get weight insulted all the time too, only by women though, guys seem fine with my weight/looks. My family used to be really bad at it, they've since layed off now that they see how I eat, haha. That reminds me of something... earlier today, my friend got really pissed at a teacher. My friend is one of the violent types, but instead of kicking the teachers ass to the curb, later on he just punched a locker. Well after he did that I went into this little hallway that leads to the outside. Very few people really go in their, so its a bit of a shortcut. Well after I turn, this chic who was right behind me and my friend goes "what a fag. oo I'm cool look at me I punched a locker." I would have just ignored it, had she stopped there. I had thought the same thing, but still this chic didn't know my friend at all. but, she wouldn't leave it there, because she didn't know the kid, so it was all right to make fun of him apparently. so after five minutes of her bullshit I turned around stopping all movement in that little hallway.

Then I would have harassed her for the rest of the day and the rest of the week by being a sarcastic mother fucker. I love to show their dumbness to the rest of the people around and believe me; I made loads of girls like that cry and regret ever opening their mouth to me or my friends. For the boys I made them lose control and look like fools in front of everyone too. :D

No, I was not always fat. I was fairly thin (heck, underweight) as a very young child. I got to a more normal weight in second and third grade. It was only until fourth grade I started gaining. Why?

No, not McDonalds or other shitty fast food places. The damn students in my 4th grade class insulted my behavior. I liked to act a little weird, and that just couldn't be comprehended in their little minds that people can be that way. That, and in their minds, weird = retarded. So, after getting home from that monstrosity of a school, I needed something to take my mind off of them. Playing video games? Nope, no TV in my room, nor were any consoles connected (I should also add that I went to a new school after moving to a new house, it's all different now). TV in living room? No cable yet. Food? There we go! I ate whatever was in the house. It wasn't very noticeable until after a few months had passed. Of course, in those idiotic student minds of theirs, fat = retarded as well. So, insulting the behavior AND appearence of a child EVERY DAY who wasn't even 10 yet (at the time) = DEPRESSION.

Of course, I started to know better as I aged, and knew that they were just idiots and I was better than them. They also just gave up and stopped (or cut class to smoke cigarettes).

So, that's the little story of how I got this nice round belly on me.

What's funny though, is you think I'm complaining. I was just sharing this little true story that happened to me the other day when I posted it (in a light-hearted sense). You also obviously didn't note one of the sentences in my first post, that said I normally don't mind when it comes to insulting my apperance, as long as it's in a joking matter, and I know the person well enough.

So, any future attempts at trying to piss me off will just have me pitying your ignorance (as well as arrogance), you poor, poor person.

Last year.. some kid asked him to do the tuff-suffle.. And he did... When he lifted his shirt... everyone threw food at him.. It was hilirious.. Now note I live in a rich area in town.

A few days later... he would come into class. And suck his toe. He would walk up to somebody... with a big smile and tell them he could suck his toe and if they wanted to see. Silly Fellow isn't he.

And it doesn't end there.. He also tired to be tough guy by getting into a fight. So in PE.. he pushed some kid and was like just slapping him around.. not punching him or anything.. just like slapping him in the face. The kid told him to stop or he would kick his ass. Fuckface kept on going and bam... he got socked in to face and got his glasses broken..

And the story goes on....

So... would I feel pity for somebody would does this kind of "weird" shit and get abused by others. No, I wouldn't. Because fuckfaces like that deserved to get made fun off. Now I'm not saying I'm some super populer guy or anything.

I also don't think you seem to know how fat I actually am. I'm not, like "going to die really quickly" fat. No. I'm not even over the 200 lbs. mark. I'd say, about 190 lbs. Maybe a bit more.

Oh, I understand why people make fun of fat people. There are numerous reasons.

1. To feel better about themselves
2. They have nothing better to do
3. They've been brainwashed by the media on how people MUST look a certain way in order to be accepted by everyone.

But, as I said before, you didn't read my post clearly. I normally don't mind or care when people insult my appearance, because I'm not one of those self-conscious fat people (not anymore, at least, haven't been one for years) who start to cry or get mad or start writing suicide notes after getting insulted about their appearance.

But this was a grown woman who should know better by now. But she's not the only one. My parents are one of those brainwashed-by-the-media types as well. They back off on me, though, because they know I hate it when they try to get me to do something athletic. (I suck at things that require athletic abilities, but that's the only downside of being at my current weight.) I also get pissed off when they insult the appearance of other people. That's not limited to fat people. That also goes for people who don't look right in their minds, like a woman with huge thighs, for example. She could look nice everywhere else, but her thighs were slightly bigger than normal, and my parents start talking about how ugly she looks with them.

My father and I were shopping for clothing once, and got to a section that had HUGE pants. This was the dialogue that had gone on when this happened:

Dad: That's disgusting.
Me: What is?
Dad: These pants. People shouldn't be THAT fat. That's disgusting.
Me: Oh my God. Why can't you accept the fact that people come in different shapes and sizes? They can't help it.
Dad: Yes they can. Just get off the couch and go exercise.
Me: ......What if they hardly ate and their metabolism was so low they couldn't keep it off after losing their body fat, then?
