CounterStrike: Source. Anyone play?

If so, know of any good servers and what is your usual handle?
I use Chgu on everything, and I don't think many other people have a reason to use it.(Long story, but it's a nickname)

Also, if enough people play, I can host a server for OP9. :D

Favourite server is GCHQ, really good admins on there, they don't tolerate any crap.

My handle is Holy Monkey usually. There's too many damned monkeys around :p

Nope not Source. My comp is too crapy to handle it.

But. I do play 1.6 pretty much everyday. And I'm pretty darn good.... Well, most of the time. But then again I should be soncidering I've been playing for almost 5 years now.... Or was it 6 :confused:

Besides, I heard source is not as good as 1.6. Is that true?

Source mechanics are horrible.

All you do is buy an AK, aim low, and spray. Or an M4, aim low, and spray.

I've noticed about 150% more headshots in source.

The ONLY better things are the grenades, m3, Dualies, and para spraying.

Although, it does look much nicer.

Ahhhh. See I never played Source before so, yeah.... I can see why people Bash on it.

And yeah. It is much, much more of eye candy but, looks aren't everything.

So what do you say? Is it better? Or worse than 1.6?

I don't have much fun playing it as I did when 1.6 was in its prime.

I am, however, very very much looking forward to Day of Defeat: Source.

Worse. I still play source from time to time, its still fun. But when you play you have to realize that more then 60% of the mechanics are based on pure luck. Agreed. Random cone accuracy system makes most of the game luck after you've fired off two bullets (as far as the assault rifles go). But, if you're careful with certain guns (Famas, M4, Galil, and AK47), I tend to get incredible accuracy with them. You should see me on iceworld when the other team isn't whoring the crap out of the semi-auto rifles and the AWP. I'm a beast with the M4 and famas.

Also, another tactic I find that works well is rushing with the MP5. Just start running at your opponent, and spray at their head. The recoil isn't too big with the MP5, so I find it's a very effective tactic vs. one or two enemies. Works especially well when they don't have armor; you can almost take down entire teams if they don't have armor.

And incase you haven't realized yet, I do tend to play a lot of iceworld. I'm a regular on a 24/7 iceworld server; I can't remember the name of it atm. I'm pretty good at CS; I've been playing for 5 years now.
