It looks like we are still a long way from making beliveable robot duplicates of people. Just being able to make something that acts like a one year old is unbelievable.

I think it's supposed to be a baby, not retarded. Though you can't really seem to tell the difference......

So basically they have to perfect it, shrink it down to the size of a doll, and then market it towards female children. This product will teach them the proper ways of motherhood, and while the males with get a similar toy. Except it's a sex doll will teach young male to seduce unsuspecting women into the bedroom. Thus increase Japan's population for the better.

On a side not, has anyone else realized that the Cabbage Patch or any baby dolls markets to girls are a means to steer them towards motherhood, and get them into the mentality of taking care of children? And also the Barbie Doll's were created to steer children into the believing in a perfect image of beauty. Thus giving them the mentality to buy makeup products and fashionable clothing, thus boosting the revenue of these companies.

It's a conspiracy! Everyone go to you local toy story and start burning all the toys that gear women into the sense of being a common housewife!......LOL  :stirthepo :worried:

Motherhood...

Kinda like little boys are given toy cars and guns? And we just can't forget about video games, 'cuz ya know, like every other video game has a gun or a shooting device that shoots/hurts something or someone.

Hey, the robot itself is a bizarre mixture of creepy and useless, but it's the planning and engineering that counts. It's a baby step (hark) in the direction of making useful androids.

That being said, I've always taken a liking to utilitarian robots over developments like this one. Ones that can, you know, actually do things other than pretend to be a poor stand-in for human interaction.

I've always thought that they already had made sex dolls with A.I. Here's my evidence:

Yeah seriously, the fridge is all-obeying, useful in many ways, and requires less maintenance than most appliances on a regular basis. And it can't complain.
