So yeah, they just got done showing two new episodes so I figure "Why not make a JLU thread?"
Anyway, I loved both episodes (though the first a little more than the second). Seeing Fire with a starring role was great, and Shayera was an absolute riot with her one liners (and the lesbian/Brazillian joke). Second one was decent enough as well what with actually managing to make Shadow Thief badass and, well, HAWKMAN!

JLU, The 90's Batman, and the 90's Superman are my favorite DC shows. Sure, they changed the stories, characters, powers, etc. a bit from time to time, but they were still fun to watch, especially when they did crossovers with heroes and/or villains from different series or even companies.
Marvel never had much TV-wise. Although I did enjoy Spiderman, X-Men, and Iron Man. The newer FF4 cartoon was OK as well.
But yeah, got a bit off track there. JLU is entertaining. I like seeing so many heroes and villains at once, although they aren't using the show to its full potential.

And just because I love the line so much...
*Flash is staring at Fire*
Shayera: You don't have a chance.
Flash: Wha?
Shayera: She's...you know... *camera pans to Fire and Ice talking*
Flash: ... o_O
Shayera: ...Brazillian.

Gah, I thought this was premiering next week. >_< They're showing encore eps on Sunday night, right?
Batman from the 90's is just plain awesome, with that theme song tending to stick in one's mind... na-na-na-na-na Batman!
I did love X-Men too, had its own catchy theme song, and while it may not be as good as Batman, it did cover majority of the comic book series, including the Days of the Future Past.

I just read something interesting about JLU that I hadn't known before. As of right now, JLU is not allowed to use any Batman characters other than Batman and very minor characters.

Nope. No Sunday reruns. I believe they have Naruto reruns in that spot now.

I love this show. I watched Batman: The Animated Series when it first came on when I was little...I was in like 2nd grade, and I've watched every successive series afterwards. I actually don't think I'd like DC comics if I hadn't watched these shows.
I really like how they build on stuff from the previous series though, they don't just let it all go to waste. Heck, they even built an entire season on stuff from a previous series.

The Question > all
"The ends of your shoelaces are called aglets... and their purpose is sinister."
"Fluoride doesn't actually clean teeth, but it makes for easy satellite tracking."

The Question was good, yes, but a tad on the overrated side. I mean, I liked him but not more than Green Arrow, Huntress, Black Canary, Supergirl, Vigilante, or Booster Gold.

I'm going to have to agree with Fighter, Question owned all. However, that battle between Superman and Shazam was awesome. Reminded me a lot of Kingdom Come. I was actually crossing my fingers that they would take it in that direction.

If we're talking the show in general. It's great. I admit I'm not very familiar with the original comics, but it's all pretty good. I think my most favorite episodes in the series have got to be the time travel episodes. Last night's episodes were pretty good too.

one thing i really like about JL and JLU is that both series are dark, which is good (compaired to *shuders* super friends)

I think the succes of his comic book series was a big part of why they used him so much.
You have to admit though, he didn't do anything that amazing in the show. Most of the time he just left cryptic hints for other JL members to follow.
It was entertaining seeing him though, and hearing his theories. They didn't really show off his fighting skills though. He is one of the better DC martial artists. Probably in the top ten or twenty.

Just a shame that far as I can tell, the rest of the season hasn't been scheduled after this coming Saturday. Means I have to wait for the episodes I'm truly waiting for (Deadman, Seven Soldiers of Victory, Legion of Super Heroes, and Outsiders).

They're going to use Deadman? Nice.
Here's a question for everyone: Who did you enjoy seeing the most in JL and JLU(heroes and villains)? Feel free to make a list if you can't pick just one.
Mine:
Solomon Grundy
Lobo
Doomsday(although he got beaten way too easily/soon)
Steel
The Question
Mettallo
Brainiac

I would have to say Fire and Ice, Booster Gold, the Question, and Blackhawk. But my absolute favorite hero of all time is Captain Marvel, so you know that was my favorite epsiode. I even love the way this milquetoast character dissed the JLU and turned down their offer of membership. I just hope he reconsiders. I would much rather see him than Supes anyday.
My favorite villians would have to be Solomon Grundy, and Star Sapphire. Lex and Braniac are overused in my opinion.

Lex is kind of overused yeah, but I kind of like the twist they're doing with him this season. Now he's second banana (no pun intended) to Grodd, while apparently completely out of his mind due to his near godhood. And I'm hoping Killer Frost gets used this season. I liked her in "The Secret Society" and I KNOW I saw her in a couple of those shots in the Legion's headquarters.
