In Scott Adams' book The Joy of Work, one of the most effective ways to ward off tasks is to agree to do it and to not do it. Persistence is the fuel to this deceptive and surprisingly successful technique. I bet you don't plan on taking any kind of pictures of your date.

And how many students were on that bus exactly? I imagine that the bus was saturated.

And the amazing thing is, he's in the papers just because he's a gaijin. As far as we know, the Japanese have no idea of the site he's posted to chronicle his experiences. If they did, he'd probably be in the papers a lot more, with perhaps some more negative coverage.

This editorial made me wonder what would happen if my plans to head to Japan for awhile ever panned out. I'm a 5' 9" wide black guy and my girlfriend is this tiny 5' Sri Lankan. We stand out enough as is, I can only imagine the headlines that would occur if we ever did wind up going. :)

How did Az meet the girl in the editorial? I don't think that Az's relationship will last long, mostly because his job is a big, distracting factor. Or not.

Actually I have some interesting questions for you Az in regards to women and subjects pertaining to. We all know now that the children are obsessed with the size of your penis. Would it be safe to say that the adults believe this as well but are a bit more researved?

Also you have stated that you have care packages sent from home containing all the things not sold in Japan. Are you one of the few people who have understanding parents that you can request that they send you condoms of correct size or are these requests made through other means?

The adults do believe it, and they are only marginally more reserved.

My ex said that whenever she told friends or coworkers that she was dating a black guy, the immediate response was always "Are you okay? Is he hurting you with his big black penis?" Some of her coworkers were in their 30-40's.

I actually do have my mom sending me condoms. It's actually somewhat of a funny story.

Also I can understand a parents interest in making sure their son is protected, but I have to wonder about the initial conversation. As every sexually active male has learned brands are very important in regards to them fitting correctly. I just can't imagine requesting my mom to pick up tuxedo ribbed condoms. If anything this alone shows you have huge cojones.

Lol it was embarassing at first, which is why I sent a request via e-mail, not phone.

But my parents are really cool about shit like that. Apparantly my father was more embarrased than my mother.

Although my mother also left a bowl of condoms out when I had a huge party for my 19th and had a lot of friends and people over... so...

Cheaters catch a kancho!! Double-penetration and lift-off so that they'll always remember what they did wrong. I guess I was just lucky that I ususally had a bookbag on when I was there. Hard to get me with a bag in the way of the target. :D

First of all......if you read what I wrote before I said you ask your friends or anyone before asking your mom. I can't imagine that sweet woman being comfortable sending those to you. And no, I wouldn't ask your dad for them either. But I still say that you should have bought the damn things the last time you came to visit. Why do you think they have places like planned parenthood or the local walgreens? We obviously need to have another discussion about this the next time you come to visit. :p
