HOLY FRIGGIN CRAP!

You know how weeks before Grindhouse and 300 everyone was like "we must see this movie!" You can probably even remember what you were doing the day you heard Spiderman 3 was being made.

But do you remember hearing about Disturbia? No.

And that is a pity. A giant pity.

Because it just blew me away. Just. Blew. Me. Away.

The one thing that a lot of movies have been sucking with a lot lately is making a decent thriller. Not just decent in the sense of making you go "omg that's a scary thing" but decent in that you can have actual depth to the plot, that you can have a story that actually makes sense and works and doesn't distract/confuse you.

Disturbia does that.

It's like that average hot smart girl.

She may not be the big hype around the school, but she is definitely hot. And what little she lacks in hot, she almost over compensates for smarts. And not only is she hot and smart, but she's willing to go down on you in the middle of the movie theater if it's kind of getting boring.

THAT is Distrubia.

...

In summary: OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG this movie was amazing. See it if you haven't yet ^.^

A few years ago? It's new in theatres... unless there was an older version...

meh. The ads make it look like a rip of that jimmy stewart flick, 'rear window' I think it was...

Though in general I have way more respect for anthing that tries to do real suspense (even if done badly) over pointless gore-fests like saw3.

It is a take on Rear Window, but even so, I've heard a lot of good chatter about it. I like Shia LeBeouf, so if get the chance to see it, I think I will. It may not be until it comes out on DVD, though. I'm trying to keep onto my "free ride to see a movie" ticket until Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.

I want to see it because of the Rear Window influence. Just saw that film a couple of weeks ago and loved it.

Which is the same reason I went XD Wasn't sure if anyone else would notice that, much less... *ahem* yeah. My mum and I talked about that right before the movie started when she realized the same thing :P

It's a good film that you should see - regardless of the fact that PCP is an asshat :D

There is a DEFINATE Rear Window feeling to it, but updated and re-targeted for a teenage audience. It's worth seeing, but it's not as good as the Hitchcock one.
