EDIT: I do sometimes worry when speaking about this sort of thing on the internet. In Britain drinking is ok, we even have a binge drinking problem amongst the younger people (my generation). Go to France and you get a slightly lower level of consumption but it's spread out over an entire week so it's not a binge.

What worries me is that America seems to think that drinking Alcohol is wrong. It's like a sin or something. You managed to get prohibition in the 30's which failed horrendously.

The only thing prohibiton did was convince people that drinking alcohol is bad. Is it really bad? Sure, if taken to excess it is bad, but I find it strange when people say proudly that they have never drunk alcohol. It's not something that should be said with pride or with shame, it's just something some people do.

I drink recreationally, although I have in past verged on alcoholism. Drinking vodka at 11:30 in the morning because you're depressed (and you got out of bed at 11:00) kinda makes you have a reality check.

I don't smoke, unless I'm drunk and there's somebody nearby I can bum one from. Marijuana is always good, and very cheap and high quality where I come from, so every now and then it's fun.

'Harder' drugs...tried some, no big deal and not worth the expense. When a tab costs the same as a J-bag, I'll stick with my lady Mary, thank you.

I cannot smoke other brands, there is no flavor and what flavor they might have just is not appealing. Nicotine contents low. At the party, I have qualms about walking a block down the road to get my KRL, and if I know that bummers are about, I clutch those things like they are gold, tubular gold. Only other thing I have ofund that comes even clsoe is Lukcy Strike, but even that isn't too close to KRL

I only smoke occasionally when I drink... and since It's my 21'st birthday and I've enjoyed a pitcher of guinness (hey I've got class tomorrow, or else i would've drank more), I'm enjoying a Nat Sherman.

As for drugs, I stopped signing that thread a few years back. I've have enough experience to comment on drugs, and abhor their misuse.

I've been smoking the whole time -- it isn't like I've quit -- but I've found that quitting a certain brand and then changing back to one of them (even when I bum a few off a person) tends to make me gag/cough because they're so different than what I'm used to. I hope that isn't the case with Kamel Red Lights. I love them so much. Dear God, please, let them treat me kindly.

After shotgunning a brew, adn yu feel that wrecth start ot pop up, take a drag, and you feel better, you can drink so much more while smoking than wihtout. When you feel stressed, it is a fantastic reliever. I know, there are other ways top relieve stress, but cigerettes are quick and all you need is a KRL and a lighter.

I have never felt irrseponsable when I used drugs. Never. Smoking a little, drinking alittle, it never mattered to me, because I was in control. To me, drug use is a youthful thing, and if you do it when your older, that's fine, but you must always stay in control. My doctor rocks the Ganj? That's fine, so much as he can still do his job and diagnose my tumor or whatever. This excludes hard drugs, mind you. Never should crack or MEth be considered OK to use. Same thing applies with E, unless it were regulated in some way. I say that because sometimes a chemical is made that makes your body overheat, and you are cooked alive at temps of 112.

A value system is key for drug use. I always did naturasl things. Opium, shroom, weed, all of them natural. Give me some coke, I would decline, didn't seem natural to me. Same went to heroin. Values in drug use are like kevlar in Iraq: keep them, and you will make it out ok.

Used to smoke tobacco, then 1 year before i stopped smoking i trew out the tabbaco(Van Nelle) and started smoking Malboro lights. and now after my lungs have all cleared up, i finally get the bitching everyone used to give me: "You taste like an ashtray", "you smell like an ashtray" and my favorite one "Your smoke makes me sick" i now understand they made a valid point, but i wont bitch and whine that people should stop smoking though. smoke all you want.. i really dont give a shit, just dont blow it in my face or you will be bitchslapped.

I quit smoking, it'll be a year on Nov 6. I guess I'm the only one who liked menthols. I still drink, hell saturday night I was in one of those zones where no matter how much I drank I couldn't get drunk. I killed close to 25 beers and was still sober as hell. I'm a liquor drinker so that may be it as well.

As for drugs, I never messed around with anything besides weed. Where I grew up all kinda shit was floating around me everyday (crack and coke mainly) and I saw what that shit did to those people. I haven't smoked weed in almost 2 years and I'm not gonna for at least 4 more (drug tests). I could really care less though, my good friends Captain Morgan and Jack Daniels support me in my decision.

I can't sign because I've never drank, smoked, or taken drugs. I'm not at the age where a ton of people do that kind of stuff. There's no peer pressure or anything like that. When I do come to the point where thoses things are offered to me, I don't think I'll do them. I mean, I don't care what it does to my body. I can't stand the smell of smoke, and drugs just don't make sense to me. I have actually drank before, but I don't really think it counts if I spit it out from the taste. :p

I disagree. I have been using drugs for the past decade or so, some times more regularly than others, and have suffered few (no?) side-effects or life fuckups due to it. I've never driven under the influence, harmed others or myself, or been addicted to the illegal things.
