I'm looking for the title/performer of the music heard in this clip, nevermind the chatter, just listen to the music on the background.

I recognize the opening tune, but I couldnt tell you the name. But seeing as they are talking about the movie American Beauty, maybe you'll find it on the soundtrack album.

unfortunately IMDB doesnt list this in the soundtrack list, i tried them all :(

Incorrect. It's an edit of "Baba O'Riley" by the Who, which is often wrongly called "Teenage Wasteland" because of the chorus. It's found on the album Who's Next, originally released in 1971.
