Since the board move I've been experiencing an odd bug here.

Originally I thought it was just me, but in OP9 chat, two others have said it happens to them.

Basically it happens when replying to or quoting a post. It doesn't happen when you use fast reply, only the advanced mode. I've also noticed its more likely to happen if you have a larger reply.

What happens is, after typing the post and clicking Submit, the window OP9 is in freezes. The whole window goes white and refuses to respond and needs to the CTRL-ALT-DLT'ed. Which means the reply doesn't go through and you lose your whole post. Which if its a large reply, is very annoying.

I've tried copying the reply before submitting, in case the bug occurs, but what happens is it wipes my clipboard too on occassion.

Just asking, who else does this happen too?

It's happened to me many times. That's why I lean away from advanced mode of reply.

It got really annoying after happening over and over again.

Hell yeah that happens.

In Advanced mode, it will hold the browser from any sort of action after "Submit Reply" is pressed. Intermittently, this will crash any other copies of IE I have up.

It's happened to me twice, both within the last half hour. I've heard about it before. Kass has mentioned it as well. Az and I will try to get it fixed.

Until then, remember to copy stuff and try to use quickreply as much as you can. Best ways to avoid getting screwed over by the bug.

Best way I've got around it is to use advanced to type your reply (especially a longer post), then cut it, hit back and post it in quick reply.

Meh. Damn near everything you can do in advanced can be done in QR, with a little more effort. :D

If all else fails(which I doubt it will), I might just turn on advanced QR for the nitpickers.

Yes, I've had it happen, but if you're patient (give it 5-10 minutes) then it DOES go through and unfreeze. I think it's a problem with the php going into a semi-endless loop somewhere or something of the sort. Who knows?

I've never ever had that. And I'm using firefox as my browser. Maybe little Billy is the culprit again?

That's odd... Eh anyway PCP's idea sounds king.

Billy? I think it was Boo Radley.

Well, do you all use Internet Explorer? If so, I think it might be it. You should really install another browser, anyway. Will do you no end of good.

Because I conform. O.o

I'm fine with IE. Hasn't given me any real problems yet.
