Actually just sex.
I've been curious to know the demographics of this forum for a while. I want to know as of right now, between the "regular" posters, what percentage of us are male or female. I have always thought it's 80/20 male to female respectively. I could be wrong though. Please don't lie! that'd be mean!
Edit:
I think by making it a public poll it will discourage voters >___<. Omg voter turnout!! Should I create a new thread with an anon poll?

I'd do shit like that all the time back in the day when I liked to go into yahoo chat and do terrible things there. My favorite thing to do was go into the gay chats and have gay men hit on me. Expect problems came up when they demanded pictures from me >_>. Most times they fell for the google shots, though.

^yes, it is very nostalgic for the wrong reasons.
Once again, it was a joke and I didn't want anyone to do it, but now that they are, it's fun : ).I always HATED the a/s/l thing and would make them up to mess with people. I would have "serious" conversations in yahoo chat only a couple times when I was 13 and 14... the rest of the time, hell no, I was one spamming mofo. What was best was the "spamming raids" me and a few others would do. Basically, the lame trekkies who weren't as big of a group as the "warsies" in yahoo chat would come together and spam the most popular star wars chat rooms. I got tired of this when I was about 14, though.
The very first keyboard command I EVER learned was control + C and control+ v. Gee I wonder why >_>.I learned this during my first spamming raid when I was 13. That's pretty much all you need to do in order to spam. it's so lame. I almost want to go back into the yahoo chat rooms, however by now I'm sure the technology has caught up with the times and I wouldn't be able to get away with it. Back then, all that could happen is we could get booted from the room, and even that would usually take a long time to happen... it happened after a LOT of damage though, and right after we were booted, we had the option to go right back in and do it some more ^_^**.

I just had to look that up, Firefly XD. Yeah, I tend to reaaaally not like the Sacramento Area >_>. It is my least favorite Norcal Metropolis. I really think SF deserves more to be our state capital, but most state capitals are quite inland due to defence purposes. But then them SoCals will say that LA deserves to be our capital XD. I'd much prefer that to Sac. I'm not sure if I'd consider that the Bay Area. I don't want to be all elitist, but yeah. You know, long ago, the Bay Area was pretty much only considered to be the area immediately surrounding the San Francisco Bay... then as development skyrocketed, pretty much everything norcal south of sonoma county and north of Monterey became the Bay Area. I remember how Sonoma county used to be called "The Valley of the Moon" back in the day. Some Native American name, I think. Now it's still Bay area, even though it represents Bodega Bay, not SF bay, which in my humble opinion is so much nicer.
Firefly
01-23-2007, 01:01 AM
what? Sonoma is bay area? I dont agree with that, o_O I mean, i know some of the county touches the bay but...it just doesn't sit in my mind. I guess the Bay Area is just so cool that everyone wants to be a part of it :P
And Sacramento is way to inland to be considered part of the Bay Area, however, the culture is starting to REALLY take over here.

I'm not old; I'm just not young anymore. Look at it this way. My wife and I are both retired. We have enough pension, social security and investment income to live comfortably and never have to work again. The only down side is that there are fewer years ahead than behind.
Sometimes I ask myself why I post on a forum so populated by young people. Well, we're really not that different. Under my gray hair I'm still 25 in my mind.

The driving part largely has to do with that, I admit.... MARTA is adequate, and I really can't see it getting bigger without either increase in traffic (it's been going up recently with high gas prices though) or serious commitment from the city. Can you say, more stations?

It took me a good 2 mins to remember the most godless country present there was Switzerland. You're from there? I know little about swiss anything other than the stereotypical things about it. If you're from there I should IM you and you should tell me about your country :D
EDIT: Nevermind XDD. I guess I was wrong anyway. In 7th grade when we had a map test of pretty much every area of the world, we never studied eastern europe or africa ^_^*. I really have wanted to study geography better since a couple years ago. I'm not THAT motivated though. Most Americans are sadly even worse than me when it comes to geography >_>. Not something I'm proud of. I mean, "who gives a shit 'bout all dem uthr cuntrees when all y'all need to no is 'bout america!!"
Anyway, I know less about the Czech republic than I know about Switzerland. Now that no longer surprises me. It was part of the USSR... that was what made it godless... not really any inherent quality of the country....
Czech Republic ? In the USSR ? Maybe in a parallel universe, but as far as my parents have told me (this corroborated by every history book), we have never been an official part of the USSR. A satellite state, that's true, but then you can say most states nowadays are satellite states of the US .. though given the catastrophic failure of leadership the US has suffered, this won't last another decade.
... As to godlessness. The Czechs had a large, heretical movement (arguably religious fundamentalists) which was anti-catholic and which defeated several crusades launched against it... Then they had catholicism imposed by the Habsburgs, after the defeat at the White Mountain (1620), which didn't make them like it more...
It was pretty godless before Communists moved in... anyway, atheism (like veterinary measures (far superior to UK, e.g)) is one of the good legacies of communist rule...

Czechoslovakia split peacefully. Dumbasses in both federal states elected assholes for premiers. Those two felt constrained by one another, so they split the country. Even though there wasn't popular support for that.

yay so we're closer and closer to determining the demographics of OP9ers! As of right now, and from now on, I'm just going to say the ratio of males to females is 7:3 or 70 percent boyz and 30 percent gurlz. I was a bit off from my original 80:20 estimate, but that's alright : ).

Yet, still much younger than me!
Psh, come off it Shamu, you're closer to being a teenager than you are to having a midlife crisis..
..damn kid.
Campion.
Ok, Ok....How about this then? I'm older than PLF, but younger than Rhuadri. I'm also old enough to have been married and divorced, have a 5 year old kid, and old enough to be Joey and D_Pad's mother...
IRL, I'm not really all that old, but on these boards, anyone over 25 seems to be old >_>

I agree, it does make you feel old when most of the forum members don't know Frankie was going to Hollywood >>

Your mom is only 40??? My mom had me when she was hitting it close to 40 (age 37 to be exact; she would have been 38 had I gone to full term).

No...I'm more than a decade away from 40...my parents are in their 40's (that's not a bad age at all, I'm just not there yet).
*sigh* And just so there's no more confusion...

I'm a 17 year old male. I currently live in the "scapegoat city" or "black sheep city" of the Bay Area. Don't know which one it is?
If you live in the Bay Area, watch the news.
Which city is portrayed as the worst/ghetto-ist city in the Bay Area?
Which city does the news usually mention when reporting homicides?
For people who don't live in the Bay Area or people who want an easier clue:
Birthplace of the Black Panters
Birthplace of the "Hyphy" movement
City which Tupac was beat by police officers for jay-walking
Tupac's "California Love" music video was filmed here
The movie The Pursuit of Happyness was filmed here
Tom Hanks, Gary Payton, Billie Joe Armstrong, Digital Underground, MC Hammer, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, Keyshia Cole, Amy Tan, and Jack London were all either born or raised in this city.
Yes, I know my city's history. Its more like I know about the historical and and famous people stuff.
Everyone!! Do the humpty, hump...

Umm....no. I have a few more years before I'm there too. Like I said previously, I'm 28.
Maybe you're thinking of Kass? Isn't she in her mid 30's (which is still really young!).

No. I thought 32 was wrong, but I couldn't find your post where you listed your age. So, I went ahead with the wrong guess betting on the fact that you'd correct me. :innocent:

I'm sad that ppl don't know that the beat Rhianna used for "S.O.S" was a Soft Cell song "Tainted Love", which also sampled "Baby Love"

IRT Roxie: LMAO. Of course I'd correct you on that :P
As for the music, it's funny how songs can progress like that.
Shannon: You're younger than my older brother. xD I really ought not to think of you as OP9 Mother-Hen, but rather, as just an older sister.

LOL, no worries Lan.
Actually, my best friend and I were discussing last night about how we're both seen as the "moms" of the respective boards we frequent. I don't mind, but I guess I see myself more as a big sister than anything. ><
