I was walking through the parking lot at the Greenwood Park Mall today and I was looking for my car when some bastard in a Silver SUV backed into me and knocked me to the ground, along with all my bags. Whats worse is the bastard had the audacity to just look out the window and give me a sympathetic wave while I picked myself and my bags up, just before he pulled away. My ass still hurts.

Well yep, that's probably why he tried to play it cool and drive off as soon as possible. The legal reprucussions would be significant. But she got hit by a car. :( I'd probably be too pissed and in awe to take a license as well.

I hope you're okay, though. There are lots of careless drivers out there like that that should never be allowed to drive. I am glad it was not as bad as some careless drivers can truly make it.

I was crossing a street once (the light was green so I should've been safe) then a car that I thought was going to stop, did not stop. It hit me, and I was thrown off a few feet ahead of the car. I quickly got back up, and the guy quickly drove off. I just went about my daily business and I forgot to tell anybody that story until two months or so later.

I never got hit by a car before but I had my foot driven over by one before when I was like 5 years old. Man did it hurt.

No I didn't get the license number... I have had one hell of a week... heck, and even worse month, so at that point I just didn't care. It's kindof a funny story now, even though then it sucked pretty bad.

This wasn't too bad though. I've had worse :P... life goes on ;) I just thought it was kindof amusing how the guy didn't even have the decency to get out of his car to see if I was ok. Sadly I think it would be the same for me and my friends. Once when my friend was drunk, he was sitting on this stool that broke underneath him. Now he's a pretty big guy, so when he fell it was like in slow motion. Needless to say, we had a great time making fun of him for that. Legs went up in the air and all. :D

Me and 4 friends made a prank on one of our compadre's. We (the prankERS) lied to him that we all drank beer before, and we all liked it. So, we stay at our friend's house, and so we "bought" a case of Heinikens. (My dad and his friends got wasted a few nights ago, and so we all throughly cleaned the bottles, and mixed Ginger Ale with Sprite. Hehe.)
So, we all drank our "beer," and we all manage to pretend we were completely wasted after one beer. The PrankEE was just a riot.

I was jst trying to mix my laughter with how much I was wasted, and he never even noticed! Everyone just kept on being wasted and all, and boy, we sure got him.

We all slept at the house, and, to add a little fun that we really did drink beer, we (me and the guy who got pranked) woke up at the same time, then he sees me running to the bathroom, and I pretended I was barfin' in the toilet. :D

We all know the dangers of being hit by a car and slamming into the pavement. We were all taking it seriously, but Neko made it pretty clear she was not too bothered by the incident. But you are right. Once at my mother's old job at a radio station, a person got hit by a car rather harshly. The person died with a split head, brain matter spread all over the floor. It was a horrible sight.

All these events and more are reasons why I am very careful on the road. Perhaps too careful to most people. But there are idiots out there, and you can't trust everyone to drive as safely as you might.

Well I sure didn't suggest legal action. I did acknowledge there could have been some nice winnings, but that's it.

I agree with you, however. Lawsuits are far too common nowadays and are wasted on frivolous cases. I am a firm believer lawsuits should be saved for truly impacting offenses.

Some people on my father's side of the family sued a doctor for not being able to save their cancer-stricken son. The cancer had already progressed too far to ensure his life would be saved. The doctor did all he could to save him. Well my relatives won over $1 million in damages and pain and suffering and a good doctor was put out of business.

Sad fact is humans are just naturally destructive, spiteful, and greedy.

I'm not sure if she should sue, but hitting a pedestrian then driving off is a serious criminal offense. You should get mall security to look at the tapes to find the plate number and then call the prosecutors office.

Something very similiar happend to a friend of mine. Well, I wasnt there that day (I miss a lot when Im gone for some reason). Anyways, my friend was eating a sandwich, then he stood up and started to choke. All my friends were laughing, out of the 7 friends that were there, only one helped. And all he did was smack his back twice while laughing. My choking friend said that it wasnt even a hard smack, more like a push. Choking friend coughed and coughed and finally that sandwich piece flew out of his mouth.

Thinking about it... I think I may have been laughing with my bud's as well. Im a horrible person I guess.

Yeah some people can't deal with the long, dragged out period of time that is needed to sue someone.

Inflicting harm on another human being is something I would rather avoid unless I had to do it... or unless they were really asking for it. So I would have probably kicked his windows open and dented his car in as much as I could.
