Hell, go for it in Finnish if you'd like. Translations into English would be nice, but I'm no Nazi. Feel free to break the true form of haiku by not making the last line about nature or seasonal if you'd like.

京都夏 【きょうとなつ】
湿度が高い 【しつどがたかい】
決の汗 【けつのあせ】

Translation:
Kyoto Summers,
High Humidity,

Hahaha... Awesome. The kanji for "ketsu" is wrong, but good stuff. Some friends and I had a whole list of toilet haiku. Some were hilarious. I'll see if I can find them.

This is my first time to make Haiku.　In this case, not Haiku(俳句） but Senryu（川柳）

夏過ぎて（なつ　すぎて）
なお、蒸し暑き（なお、むしあつき）
胸毛かな（むなげ　かな）

The summer passed
Even muggy
What a chest hair

秋風に（あきかぜ　に）
揺れる胸毛は（ゆれる　むなげ　は）
誰のため（だれ　の　ため）

An autumn breeze
Chest hair　rustling
For　whom

whenever i mention haiku or origami to a japanese person, they're always so surprised that i have heard of them.

Funny thing is, if there's one thing i think everyone (at least everyone educated in a Canadian high School) knows about Japan, is Haiku and Origami... it's practically the national stereotype.

First 'haiku.' No idea if it makes sense or not. I'm not used to 'short hand' poetic Japanese.

And the reason is, well, there's no real concept of "syllables" in Japanese, as far as I'm aware. Simply due to the fact that every letter/phoneme is a syllable in the Japanese language.

Wow, I had no idea saiyaku and saiaku were different words. Are they used interchangably or is there a difference?

There is a difference. The more common term is "saiaku," but it sounds similar to "saiyaku" when you say it. For the most part, unless they are refering to an actual disaster of some sort (natural, etc), you should assume they are saying "saiaku."

I don't think that traditionally anyone would put "minasanga" in a haiku, but even in japan not everyone sticks to the strict, traditional format.
