Alot of the chaps in the year(s) above me in Uni have recommended this organisation to me. I'm just wondering what outpost nine thinks of it?

From looks it seems great! I don't mind doing a bit of manual work, or even long hours. I don't really mind if im not paid, just whether I can get food and a roof over my head as I plan to stay over in Japan for 2 months over the summer holday. (basically to preserve my Japanese language ability so its still working well into my 2nd year)

It seems to depend, of course. I'm a member but I've never had the time to go to any.

All the people that went I know have said they had a great time. The work load cant really be counted apparently. Sometimes you might get 5-7 hours a week for 5 days, sometimes just 3-4 hours. Whereas some other occassions you would just get 4 days off with a free trip etc.

Seems cool, but my main reason as said before is to keep my Japanese ability flowing, so I dont care if it doesnt pay.
