I think it's more interesting to hear what a person sound like then to see how they look like...
On other forums I've seen threads about Skype, but i think skype is pretty boring... (atleast now when my mic is broken) :P
It's more fun with wav/mp3 files..
Come on.. post a link to you singing a song or just saying some witty comment...

I tend to sound rather monotone in everyday situations. People call me cold because of the way I tend to talk, but that's not my intention. Typical American accent, too. Except I can roll R's. Mi mama taught me.

doh, second time typeing this, internet freaked out last time I tried to post it...
Alright, I'm going to preface this by saying its not my best, its actually a recording from about a year ago, so its kinda old, and I'd like to think I've progressed from this, but unfortunantly I don't have the ability to post songs on the internet right now, so if you hold out for about 3 months I promise to get a better recording on here for everyone :D
I'm playing all of the insturments, did the recording and the mixing... could of done a better job of mixing, but yeah, that was a long time ago.

About the general idea of this thread though, anything that most of you would be able to capture and post up here isn't going to really sound like you. Your microphone, preamps, and room accoustics are all going to play a big part in how the recorded sound comes out. If you do something as small as moving the mic by 3 inches in any direction you'll drastically change the sound.
Also, the way you perceive your own voice is really different from how others hear you, your bone structure around your ear provides a natural reverberation that alters the way you hear yourself... so nobody else hears you the way you hear you.

Wow no u sound awesome lol i have a "friend" in germany i visited not to long ago she said if i spoke french it would be beautiful lol becaus eof my monotone voice haha lol it sucks so bad :PAtleast i think it does all my friends hate it but all the girls i know love it so im torn in between i usually opt not to talk its easier!

I got no southern drawl, hell naw.
I think my accent is pretty much generic American sounding, though I know that I sometimes whip out something pretty countrified, and I was born in Michigan and since my parents are from there and New York, I sound much more northern than southern.

That would sound hot. You should be able to go to sound recorder in start > programs > accessories > entertainment > sound recorder.
Record, dump it into a wav file, and upload to a host online somewhere.
In anycase, I don't have a mike with me at home (visiting home from college for a few days) so instead of recording something for this, I can only leave you with a sample of me doing recon in EVE Online with my clan during combat ops, so it's probably going to sound a bit strange :P

I can't record my voice right now, but I can tell you what I sound like.
I sound like everything, and I can't control it. Seriously. Sometimes I sound like a normal guy. Sometimes I sound like a little girl. Sometimes I sound like Solid Snake. I don't know why I can't keep my voice the same, but that's the way it is.

I'll try to get my voice for anyone that might care. But I can't right now because I don't have the hardware for it.
But I'm the same way. Usually my voice is rather monotone and quiet, but sometimes it becomes erratic in tone and goes all over the place. But that gives me the ability to mimick many voices. Solid Snake is one.

I normally don't like talking, so my voice box is abit rusty most of the time. I'm only posting this because I haven't slept in awhile and I'm not in my right mind. Keeping that in mind, enjoy, you're getting a rare treat.
