There's a fashion at the moment in England to wear sports shirts a bit like this one:

That claims to be a designer one - I've no idea what sport they're for. They usually have the number on the front, and either "TOKYO" or "OSAKA" in huge letters.
Where the hell have they come from?!
I quite like them don't tell anyone.
The left one is for baseball - it says "Hanshin" in the 4, as in Hanshin Tigers. The right one is for the Tokyo ... Awabi? Never heard of _that_ team ...

It's the same shirt, front and back. So someone's basically taken the team names and just chucked them on willy nilly?

the so-called "designers" of these horrible shirts can do whatever they want, as long as they aren't messing with the Urawa Reds.

Ok, so I found a shop that's selling them. The shirt I found had the number 6 on it, with OSAKA written about it, and the following at the bottom of the number:

Wossat then?
会員証, kai-in-shou, "membership card". な is a seemingly meaningless adjective-connector.
Some Japanese guy in Birmingham is blogging about it, though.

This trend came and went in Australia about 5 odd months ago. And the shirts were being mainly sold in shops like General Pants Co or Cotton On, which are trendy but cheap fashion stores.
Designer my stinky bum.

Membership card! Heh. Japlish, indeed. I'll have a go at translating that guy's site when I'm not quite so unwell, bah.

Blow the UK away with some REAL Hanshin Tigers gear (their team colors are definitely NOT green).
