Borat (http://www.boratonline.co.uk/) was the funniest movie I have seen in at least 5 years, possibly one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. I was basically crying with laughter throughout most of the film. Keep in mind that not only is this a comedy, it's also a commentary about social extremes in America. Seriously see this film.

The Hotel Room scene... I swear I nearly died... And when it finished, I was laughing about it for the next 5 minutes XD

it was awsome. I got yelled at for posting a minor spoiler in the other thread, so I guess I won't post anything about the movie. But I'll say that it really was hilarious!

It wasn't as good as I expected. His regular tv ones are far more funnier. This was pretty much acted by both parties.

And you do realise that the only actors in the movie were Sasha and Ken Davitian (who played Azamat), the rest were real people weren't in on the joke.

I personally thought it was very well made, but not as good as expected. Probably my favourite comedy movie. The Family guy movie is a close second.

Bollocks. Pamela Anderson was well paid to get that done to her. That is just one sketch I'm highlighting.

Pamela maybe, but her security guys and the crowd obviously had no clue what was going on. One of those security guys tackles him into the concrete.

Watched borat on sunday, fantastic film, i really enjoyed it, everyone in the movie theatre was laughing all the way through it, definately worth seeing. Though i can't say i agree with the acting statement, i think the pamella anderson part was most likely acted out, but the rest seemed genuine enough to have not required actors.

The "prositute" was a paid actress/comedian from L.A.

Searching on YouTube also yields a wealth of TV or cut Borat clips. All are hilarious. My personal favorite is Borat's rendition of "Throw The Jew Down The Well"

I liked it a lot. That said, it's not beyond criticism. It was full of brilliant slapstick and dickjokes, but... that's about it. I expected more wit and social commentary. Other than that, it was great.

if people hadn't been saying the movie was so great, i may have appreciated it more.
i found it extremely overrated.

I think the movie is more like a napoleon dynamite movie - it was painful to watch, but filled with memorable quotes.

I'm not quite following your comparison, could you elaborate please?
