Long story short, I'm looking for some new music. I love finding bands that I didn't know about before. And the nice thing is, I have wide open tastes-- there's not a whole lot that I don't like.

Know a band you'd think I like? Tell me! Country of origin, language, style, genre, it doesn't matter much to me. If I like it, I like it; it's that simple.

As I said about before, my tastes vary. Here's some highlights from iTunes to give you an idea of what I like:

As Sam Beckett would say, "Oh, boy!"

This great stuff! Thanks a lot!

IRT Citizen: I'm a big classic rock fan, too, believe it or not. Whenever I'm doing stuff around the house, I put on Classic Rock 101.5 FM and party on.

You have Kanye West on there but no Talib Kweli? For shame, my friend...for shame. Start right there. Talib Kweli.

Also look at Smokin' with Superman. Those are my two big suggestions for now.

I love that you have Love Spit Love...like no one else has even heard of them! And I like that you also have TATU on there. Do you like the TATU version of "How Soon is Now?"

I listen to basically anything and everything.

Some suggestions:
Grateful Dead! (I went to a Phil Lesh [Dead bassist] this summer it was BADASS)
Justin Timberlake (new CD is strangely catchy)
Snow Patrol (not my usual type of music but the new CD is freakin amazing)
DJ Dawn (techno-y goodness)
DJ Irene (more techno-y goodness, and she is easier to find than DJ Dawn)
Tiesto
Oakenfold
Tift Merritt (somewhat similar to Alisson Kraus)
Stabbing Westward (for some reason I always get them & System of a Down confused)

Hmm Ill think of some more later on.

Hank Williams is as country as it can be in my opinion, but he is at the same time a great songwriter. I'm sure you've heard of him before.

Oh, this is just awesome.

IRT MFDub:

I think I have heard that name before. Any specific songs I should look at?

IRT Ellie:

I know, folks have no idea who they are. It's annoying. No, I don't have that version by t.A.t.U-- not particularly fond of it. Do you have t.A.t.U in the original Russian? It's awesome to hear.

Actually, I do have Tift Merritt. I love her "Good Hearted Man" song. *sigh*

IRT NERD:

Oh, I love all three Hanks. They're definitely on my list. I love how they all have country and blues roots, but have three very different voices and styles.

IRT Talking Book:

That list is teh r0xx0rz as my man would say! I love it!

Thanks guys, this is awesome.

Honestly, all of them. Good places to start, however, are "Beautiful Struggle," "Black Girl Pain," "Goin' Hard," "Get By" "Stand to the Side" "Twice Inna Lifetime"

Also, another artist I just thought of is Anthony Hamilton.

Ooh Japanat...YES is the BEST! That was an excellent choice to put on your list. And I love Manheim Steamroller Christmas stuff. B-52s are also fun & trippy...I like their Alice in wonderland song, I dunno the name of it but it's fun.

Where's Radiohead? I prefer their earlier albums, like The Bends, Pablo Honey, My Iron Lung, OK Computer- basically right up to Amnesiac.

M83 is also a great French electronic band along the lines of Air- if you heard of Air, definitely give M83 a try. I like them better.

Oasis is also pretty good, though some of their songs like "Don't Look Back In Anger" definitely got overplayed.
