Can you bend the top digit forward? For whatever reason, my ring fingers are jointed the same way your fingers are, but it hurts trying to get them to bend in both directions at once.
That is pretty cool.
I can rotate my palm 360 degrees, so People usually cannot beat me in a match of mercy. In the end tho it hurts like crazy tho.

that is pretty crazy, I can snap my elbows and shoulders out, but it hurts unbearably since I started weightlifting.

Ya
I can bend all of my fingers like that too
Its even more odd..
I make my figners to the "can-can"
by bending it like yours. ^ up there.. like that
then "straightening" them out like mine..which bend all crazy
dunno if that makes sense

You can, just because you aren't born with it doesn't mean you can force things to work like that. Put your hand on the edge of a table, push down with your fingertips and pull your palm up until your stretching those joints. Do this all day, every day, and sooner or later your fingers will be as super limber as someone naturally gifted with double-joints at birth.

My fingers bend all the way backwards just about very easily, and they're really quite strong, so I don't loose in a mercy match either.
Sometimes other people's hands (like my boyfriend's) are stronger than mine so I can't win either. ^^;

That makes me shudder yet I cannot look away.
*sigh*
you were suppose to put them both fingers together in complete kancho attack position while dressing your face with the most suspicious look you can think of.
THEN a picture of both fingers going out both ways.
Now I'm only half scared; If I was a 12 year old middle school child In Japan, I'd probably still kancho you.
For the record: this belongs in Padded Walls room.
Also, not in this thread but i've noticed...edit button. :D thanks.
nonetheless, points awarded.

Heh... One of these days, I gotta post pictures of my thumbs. My father's side of the family all have the same "condition," but we have an extra bone and joint in each thumb. My thumbs are as long as my middle fingers :D My grandfather was the only one who could actually use his extra joint, though (for the rest of us, the joint is fused together). He could bend his thumb a third time, like a normal finger. Was really cool. He is the only person I've ever lost a thumb wrestling match to.
When they were prototyping the Xbox Duke controllers, I went up to MS to check it out... They passed around the controllers and everyone was mumbling about how it was too big, and I just said, "I don't know what you are all talking about." The MS guys at our table looked at me and said, "He is the One!" and started bowing :D

That's pretty weird, I can move my knuckles inside my right hand. 'Tis good for freaking people out.

... It's like a barbed arrowhead. It goes in, but it's loathe to come out, and when it does, it causes major damage to surrounding tissues...
What a scary thought.

I looked through my photo albums, and I don't have any pics that show the horror that is The Thumbz (tm).
To put in in perspective, when I straighten out my fingers like I'm going to do a karate chop, the tip of my thumb is flush with the middle joint of my pointer finger. Oh, and they're curved (the extra bone in each thumb is sorta wedge-shaped, making my thumbs look like gorilla toes).
Took my fiance a while to come to grips with the fact that when we have kids, they will all have The Thumbz (tm). It's never skipped a single person in my entire family. It's great for paternal testing reasons, too :D

I've only read a few posts in here, it's just hard to catch up sometimes. So if someone had mentioned what I am about to mention, then I am sorry.
I used to have a friend, who could bend all his fingers back and touch the top of his hand with the surface of his finger nails. It looks way gross when he does it too. It looks like their is no bones in his fingers.
That's pretty weird, I can move my knuckles inside my right hand. 'Tis good for freaking people out.
I can do that with both hands :D
YOu mean like that bone/tenden thing that runs verticaly on your hand? Yeah I can move/wiggle that aswell. Tell somone to place their finger on top of that bone, then move it; that will scare the hell out of anyone, and not to mention it's so worth it. ^^
Lol, I can do that with my left hand, but like with only two on my right.
Ohh, and I can also bend all my fingers back about 90 degrees, which is killer in mercy =D.

Moo- Bah, you overly flexible bastards are the reason that I go for grinding delicate hand bones rather than twisting fingers around when it comes to mercy. :goes back to working the Bodyfit Grip Strengthener:
Lol, luckily for me I also work on my grip, so that will also give someone a challenge =D

Okay. You asked for it:
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/hapaklay/The_Thumb.jpg
my middle finger bends upwards and diagonally. Back in 7th grade someone slammed my finger into a locker(wasn't even that hard), but for some reason, still has that bend if I extend it.
Oh and Happa you're a freak.

Yeah, I guess it is a tendon or something, I can do it on my right hand and on three fingers on my left.
