PS3 Price Cut...

I thought this was pretty interesting. Apparently the price has dropped by 20% for the 20GB (the "basic unit) PS3. Unfortunately, this seems to only be effective in Japan so far. Here's hoping this carries over into other regions.

This news aint bad, but I don't think it'll make much of a difference on the actual sales front since this isn't the high end playstation 3 (yet) and there's hardly anyone who'd want to get the lower end model. Sure, there will be people who will want to buy the lower end I guess, but it's not really gonna make much of an effect on their sales I think.

Same thing would probably happen around the world. Sure at $400 thats a more affordable system, but I doubt there'd really be any change in number of units sold.

The HDMI now being included is music to my ears though :D
