I just want to say it reminds me of that Simpsons episode. Have fun, if you can.

I went last year. It was a lot of fun. The lines for playing the games are very long, in most cases, so expect a long wait for the best games. I took a lot of photos of the cosplayers (Japanese and a couple Americans dressed up like videogame characters) that hung out in between the two main exhibit halls, and that alone was almost worth the $15 admission fee.

If you can understand Japanese, it'll be a lot more interesting, since they have more than a few anime voice actors, pop singers, and videogame industry types making speeches and performing throughout the day. Definitely go, if you're in the Tokyo area. I think last year it was open to the public for two days. We bought our tickets ahead of time at Lawson, but you can get them at the door, too, for a few bucks more.

Would've liked to, and I'll be in the country while it's going on, but I had to work my plans around my friends' so I can't go to Tokyo or stay for very long. *shrug*

I'm totally going. My plane takes off in tomorrow at 2:30pm (pt). I am such a tech nerd and am going to love it.

I don't know if it's wrong, but from what I've seen, everyone else is doing it...

Show some damn Revolution news god damn it!

2006 E3 should be interesting to read/watch about. As for TGS, I doubt nintendo will show anything major; more than likely, Sony and M$ will toot some next-gen horns.

Was going to go, but the trip got cancelled due to a schedule conflict. I rarely ever go on public days, anyway, so I doubt I'd meet any of y'all there :(

kokujin: Nintendo never has a booth at TGS. They have their own event in Japan.

E3 isn't hard to get into. Write to any decent sized game company and ask if you can be a guest. Give them a reasonable excuse as to why you want to go. I've gone as Press and as CTO for a comic book company. - Sparky

What would you call a 'reasonable excuse?' Last dying wish?

According to this Nintendo will reveal the Revolution Controller at TGS... I mean, they totally announced that they would reveal Mario 128 and stuff, and this may be included.

It's possible they'll do some sort of press announcement and such, but they traditionally do not have an actual, physical booth.

Yeah, hopefully it's good. But they've totally skipped going to TGS for the last few years havn't they?

Ketay - It's been a while. I don't remember when they started doing their own thing (or if they were *ever* at TGS), but they have their own big event in Japan. I've been to TGS for the last 5 years or so, and they haven't been there...

kokujin - Unfortunately, I'm not going this year. Quite to the dismay of my coworkers, because I am traditionally responsible for the yearly Gentlemen's Report. The report is a full write up of the status and quality of the year's TGS booth babes. They'll have to do without one this year, unfortunately.

*sigh* I don't even really play video games... And yet I still really wanted to go... :p

First time my fiance came over to my computer while writing up the Gentlemen's Report and saw what the content was, she stopped talking to me for a few hours and kept mumbling something about being "so disappointed" and something else about "...men."

:D

I've got some great pics, though :D

That's right, I forgot you were engaged... That's it. You need to get rid of those photos... The best thing to do is to email them to me and then delete them. Do it for your relationship!

And don't forget to zip them.
