I'm quite tired of documentaries that try to prove a conspiracy by using intense music and editing. Showing grainy footage and use testimonials of people that have no comparison (the 'it sounded like a missile' argument)

I stand by my theory that usually the simplest explanation is the correct one. The sept 11 attacks were carried out by terrorists trying to scare people into giving them their way.

I do approve of being critical on ones own governement, but not by making wild allegations.

Who gives a shit, seriously. If it WAS a "conspiracy," then wtf, how would that affect anything? On top of Maddox's argument for "proofs" being fallacious by mere existence, even if the proofs were real, what then? Will everyone march on Washington and demand just come-upance? Politics has always been the playing-field of masterclass rollers that the public never sees, people that shape history with forethought. If the murder of thousands of people in one act of terrorism and thousands more in an accompanying war will result in a nodal point that these people seek to attain, then what the fuck, let them. Us regular folk will just have to sit tight, shut up, lead our boxed-in lives as the puppeteers play the strings to a melody too grand for us to hear.

The most likely actual scenario was that the hijackers were cooperating with the CIA. Now, not to actually DO it, but to hijack and scare some people and so on - typical "wag the dog" sort of thing.

And they decided that they could be real terrorists. Big surprize.

This would explain the utter lack of response to them. Our leaders thought that it was business as usual - they'd have their excuse to up security and go after terrorists/invade any country of their choice to get oil/whatever they wanted).

Well, it's not that surprizing, really. You get in bed with bad guys and they might turn on you instead of being obediant puppets. DUH. Our government has been burnt by bad people it has associated with , how many times in the last decade alone?

That's because it hardly feels like it really matters to our leaders. Lots of lip-service, but they don't have any official holiday about it or anything, there's no sign of construction to put something in its place after five years(not even some grass and a marble plaque with the names of the dead - how hard its that?), and the guy who planned it isn't even being persued by our government anymore.

They've stripped so much meaning from it over the last five years for thier own political and military gain with nothing to show for it that it kind of feels hollow. Just another day. Or at least that's the message America is getting from our leaders and media. Whether we as people remember or not doesn't seem to matter anymore to them.
