So I use firefox primarily as a backup browser to IE.

Why?

Because its default use:blank page colour looks like this:

HOT PINK FTWTF?

How the same fook do I kill this rather Queer Eye' looking pinkness and just have standard white?

It's because Firefox automatically adapts to its user.

Like mine shows the weather forecast for the next 3 days, and has a slick blue layout, and generally kicks ass. And yours is pink.

Looks like the colour usually used in video overlay. But I find it hard to believe that your Firefox has turned into some sort of kooky video player.

I say just blow Firefox away and start from scratch. Easy enough for FF to re-import your bookmarks etc.

...Weird. Go to "Tools" > "Options" > "Content" > and hit the "colors" radio button you see towards the bottom. Make sure that the background color is set to white, and the text is set to black.

If you have the Tab Mix Plus extention, check it out to make sure it didn't hijack your color settings.

Mine has "Use system colors" checked and isn't pink, maybe it's that? I don't know much about it, just a comparison :P

That pink is blinding though :(
