Yes, it still exists. This is a clip of the Donny Brooke tribute match in Irish Whip Wrestling.

That wasn't too bad. I believe my brother showed me this match, and if it's the one I remember, it's far too spotty for my tastes, just like all non-WWE wrestling these days.

I used to be a big pro wrestling fan. I loved it all. WWF/E Style, Puro Style, and Indie style. But the "independants" got boring really fast. It seems that anyone trained for today's audience just does nonstop acrobatic flips and such, and noone seems to understand that you're supposed to BUILD to those highspots. It gets really boring after a while. It's like, instead of having a cake with many parts (The sweet icing, the not-so-sweet cake, the occasional cherry filling) all enhancing the whole, you just skip the not-so-sweet parts and eat out of a jar of icing. It tastes good at first, but you find yourself wanting that original cake more and more.

That being said, I stopped watching the WWE not soon after (2003). The old guys are doing the exact same thing in every match, and the young guys haven't been trained. It's worse due to the fact that everyone is being told not to outshine the main event, and they put Hulk Hogan up there. Staying with the cake analogy, it's like they replaced the eggs in the cake batter with shit, and tried to bake the cake. It smells bad, it looks worse, and you'll vomit if you try to eat it.

Puro's alright, but you lose alot of it when you can't understand the storylines. I've got the cake analogy for this one, but it's dumb and it doesn't make any sense.

The Indies lack In-ring psychology, they don't know how to work the match in a way that gets the audience into it. They pretty much use everything they have in 5 minutes and wind up repeating things alot for another 10 or so minutes until the finish.

The WWE knows how to do this, but they concentrate to much on the theatrical aspects and not enough on in-ring ability. So you wind up with slugs like Mark Henry and Chris Master, who are big and powerful, but can't work a match for shit.

Puro has suffered alot from bad booking in the last 6 or so years, And The big MMA boom has taken a toll on them as well. I don't think Puro is that hard to understand really, Their storylines are pretty basic, and they usually give a build up so you can pretty much figure out what the deal is. When you can't, there are plenty of people who can tell you , you just gotta know who to ask really.

Storylines really are all that important in Puro anyway, the most important thing is that they have a great match and I think thats what many of those guys and gals are consistant at doing. The Sad thing is there aren't many great up-and-comers right now, so there isn't anyone new to take the place of the older guys when they retire, and that really hurts the business alot.

Lucha Libre is quite interesting, but its not easy for folks to get into because it is rather different to what everyone else in the world is doing. Lucha is suffering abit too though, since alot of the young guys don't really stick to tradition and there is less matwork now than there used to be. Still its alot of fun to watch if you can find the good matches

The video was only highlighting the high spots of the match. There had to be a lot of mat wrestling, as Europe has been known to produce great technical wrestlers (British Bulldogs, anyone?), but the newer ones are more oriented to the newer fans. "The Pheonix" Jody Fleish, "The Wonderkid" Jonny Storm, M-Dogg 20 and "The Heretic" Red Vinny showed that in this match.

The clip above is a tribute to Red Vinny. It shows that he has ring psychology as well as good build-up to most of his matches.

Wrestling...damn i loved it then i grew out of the whole repeated story lines ideas (once they brought back nWo in WWE it killed the originality, now DX is back.....*Dies*) i loved it all, i was a big late days of ECW fan and a huge Attitude Era WWF fan.

Always and Forever Raven FTW.

Wrestling lost its orignality in the past 4 years, and thats the reason most people watched it for orignal story lines, now its just repeating them.

I love spots, I like CZW, New jack, Necro Butcher, Rey mysterio, and any high flyers or weapon user. I think it cause of my young age and I'm at the point where I like flashy shit and painful shit.

Rey Mysterio...assclown to quote Jericho, the man is all show and no go, he is the main highflyer because he was put there. He stands no weight against the Puro's like Ultimo Dragon, Jushin Lyger...actually Japanese HF's are usually a hell of alot better then US HF's purely because they have alot more training and they dont have the limitations that WWE puts down (Ultimo wasnt allowed to use Tiger/Dragon/Under Hook Suplex's because of danger)

yeah I really stop watching WWE around before the rumble but after undertaking leaving. "Being buried alive." Am I the only one to notice that undertaking has more than two personas. Old taker (scary motherfucker) America bad ass, Scary taker, and he changed again or I'm thinking wrong.

'Taker is using a combination of all his past personas for his current one. Oh, and Urban-Ninja? What do you mean American High-Flyers aren't as good as Japanese ones? Have you seen Jack Evans? That guy can fly. I mean, have you seen his finishers? A top-rope Pheonix Senton/Elbow Drop and a Standing Corkscrew SSP followed by a Standing Backflip Corkscrew Senton.

Canada produced some great high flyers over the past few years as well. Eric Young (haven't seen his finisher yet), Petey Williams (Front Flip Piledriver), Teddy Hart (SSP, Spinning Senton) and Johnny Devine (Frog Splash Moonsault).

Mysterio isn't just a spot monkey, watch his cruiserweight title matches from WCW before he lost his mask. His matches with Eddie, Malenko, Jericho, and others were great. His Lucha work is even better. The WWE has ruined Rey with that damn title run.

Most american flyers are just spot monkeys, they hit their spots without rhyme or reason with no build up. There is no Ring psychology. In Lucha and Puro there is plenty of ring psych, they don't just run through their spots until time runs out.
