View Full Version : I hate boxing

:gloomy: did anyone see the boxing match between that japanese kid and the champion(or should i say former champion)?

at the end, i was depressed. truthfully, i came in at about the 8th round though. I just hate any Japanese team in sports. its okay to root for your team, but these people are blindly retarded in rooting. if the japanese guy started a flurry of swings, whether they hit or not or had any power in them, the crowd went CRAZY! it pissed me off.

i mean, the kid is really good and has trained for a long time and very hard, but i think he's too young/inexperienced to be the champion. i think he's only lost once? but damn, is he full of himself. him and his brothers. i was hoping he would lose the title match so it would knock some humility into him. my host mom and sister thought the same.
even though he basically did jackshit in the closing rounds(again, i said i didnt see the starting rounds, so i dont know what happened then), he won 2-1. i really wished the columbian(thats where hes from?) chamipon woulda won. he was kinda weak in the stomach area though. i was sure that the closing few rounds woulda sealed the deal. all the japanese guy did was attempt to lock up with his opponent, and get his face bashed. :karate:
but sure enough, even when he let out a flurry of punches that looked about as strong as my grandma punches, the crowd went wild. ill admit, there were a few times when i got kind of scared, cause he got a few hits in.

so anyways, he won. i still have the feeling that since they were in japan, is made a big difference. i wont even bother to look on tv for the next week, cause all it will be is him and his douchebag attitude paraded for a week.

:sigh: comments, additions welcome

That judging was horsecrap, Kameda shouldn't have won. but you know what, I bet it's all okay because the Venezuelan guy probably got some mad cash from the TV station anyways.

I just hate any Japanese team in sports.

This is only when individuals or teams are playing as Japanese representatives that it gets so annoying that you just wish they lose (at least I do, and I'm Japanese). However, there is no reason you should have the same hatred for club teams. You probably haven't seen the Reds live, have you? Living in daSaitama and not watching them live is a shame. it's really a great experience.

He's 12 wins, no losses, 10 by KO, two by decision. And whether or not it was a legitimate win by points (he was showing better technique, even if he was losing the war of attrition), or a win by money, I don't know.

you know what, i like that explanation better. thats what i meant, i just have come to suck at explaning in english..or any language for that matter:duh:

sadly, no i havent seen them. i wanted to go to their game with bayern munich so badly!!!
i did get to see the ardija's though. thats more of a consolation/not good enough prize. the game was good though. they cam back from a 2-1 trail, scored twice in the last ten minutes, and won 3-2.

anwyays, on the subject of sports(but really just plain off subject), i have a quick question for Oakland. football season is coming up. rothlesburger(sp?) isnt gonna be playing this season, is he?
the only good part about going back home on the 16th of this month (:gloomy:x50000), means that ill be home in time for football season. :D

Yea, kinda annoys me when they root for a Japanese fighter because he's Japanese... even if the other fighter has been training in Japan. =o

Hopefully, being able to speak Japanese, I'll be a little more promotable as a foreign fighter. lol I've met the president of PRIDE and am planning on picking up my training schedule once I'm over there teaching. I've got contact numbers with the group that does PRIDE and they said if I needed them to, when I was getting to a level around some pro fights over there I could call them and they'd scout my matches. =)

... but yea, I hate the 'root for the Japanese guy because he's Japanese' thing. =x

... if 4-5 years from now you see a 70kg so-white-you'll-burn-your-eyes-out American fighter who can speak Japanese... it may just be me. lolol

... but for the record, I have no clue which fight you're talking about... have been busy with summer quarter finals lately. T.T

Kameda was knocked down early in the fight,,, The Venezualen beat him every which way but loose... It was horrible but I watched the fight with my wife and mother in law and i dared not say a thing. Although my wife so just the latter rounds I explained why the kid was losing. Kameda has no defense and just stood directly in front taking shot after shot. I felt sorry for him until I heard the judges... :(

First, it's Roethlisburger, get it right.
Second, I'm not quite sure what parts of the body he injured the most, other than his face. so depending on his physical condition, he may or may not play. It's not like he pulled a Jay Williams (remember him from Duke/Chicago Bulls?).

At this time, my biggest concern regarding the football season is whether I can actually watch any of it or not. I am a phone call away from getting cable set up and that will get me all the channels I need for sports I like, but they cost 5,000 yen/month. I know that's like regular cable in the States, but because I haven't been paying for cable for over a year, all of a sudden it feels like a pretty stiff expense.

If you have BS, you can see several (2-3?) games per week at odd times (generally late at night). Otherwise, maybe cable is better.
