So this coming Monday (the 31st for me), I'll be heading over to Japan. This is actually my third time going, and I'll be staying in Shizuoka for two weeks. Making a thread to just say "going to japan kthxbye lolz" sounds like a lame idea to me, so I'll throw in a few things extra.
I'll admit up-front that I've always been a bit of a Japanophile, before and after I started learning Japanese. In my first two trips to Japan I was still naive and assuming in what I knew (or thought I knew) about the country. After hanging around this site for a while, reading your blogs and experiences, this trip seems like it might be a bit different this time around--and that has me pretty excited. Either way, I'm still a Japanophile at heart, but in a large part in thanks to you guys, I'm somewhat of an enlightened one.
Ok, mushy stuff is outta the way. As of now, I'm not entirely sure what my schedule is over there, so I don't really anticipate meeting up with anyone, but if I do, sounds good to me. :clap:
Feels a little early to make a thread, but I had the trip on my mind and was floating around here, so there ya go. Hold the fort down while I'm gone.
