A few fun situations that make me wonder whether or not I'm actually living in a sitcom...

At my university, we have to take a class about BEING in college... yes, it is in fact as ridiculous as it sounds. We went around the classroom and stated what our major was and why we chose that major. One kid that sat directly in front of me raised his hands proudly, "I'm a political science major!" the teacher said, "Ok, why did you choose that major?" And his glorious answer was, "One day I want to work for the League of Nations"

My face was something of a

I was waiting for the elevator to go back up to my dorm, and I waited for this girl who kept pressing the "down" button, which is ridiculous because on the elevator that went to the odd numbered floors, the elevator didn't go to the basement... but she kept pushing it and she was like "OMG I can't believe how long this is taking... I'd take the stairs but I live on 11..." I reached over and said "I think you have to push the up button" and she proceeded to tell me "No, you press down, because you want the elevator to come down."
The future of America ladies and gentlemen.

Anyone who's been in college knows that most people have dry erase boards on their doors. Anyway, on WED. night 2 girls went around and wrote "Volleyball, Noon Thurs., Be there" on everyone's doors. The next day, no one showed up, and they were really disapointed.
..............................................
EVERYONE'S IN CLASS THURSDAY AFTERNOON YOU MORONS!!!

There is a grocery store on campus here... my roomate and I went to buy some juice and soup stuff and this guy (obviously, oh so obviously a football player) was with some of his equally emassed friends, when he reached over and grabbed some beef jerky something, and YELLED across teh store to his friends "Hey GUYS!!! If you buy 2 you get one with CHEEEEEEESE for FREE!"... I cannot stress how much the way he said "cheese" came out as if it were something from Rocko's Modern Life...

Last night my roomate and I were party searching *Thirsty thursday... HELLO!* and we were walking down the street when this one guy covered with alcohol and vomit... all sweaty and such... not to mention he wasn't more than 5'2... walked right up to my roomate *I mean, another 3 inches and they would have been touching* and looked up at her *She's 5'11... hot European ;)* and then looked over at me and said, "Dayum you girls are HOT!" and then his friend looked at us with a sympathetic eye roll and litterally dragged this fucker away.

The decay of society is upon us... I never thought I'd feel smart in a fairly highly regarded university. Maybe I'm not a waste of space :P

Lord! I remember the days! I was always amazed at the people they would let into college. I guess the football/basketball teams are more important than acedemics when it comes to addmissions.

A long time ago in a University far far away, I was in the dorm talking to this girl named Sarah. Sarah was one of those rare girls that went to Catholic school and was not even remotely a total slut( humour me people :p ). No seriously, I was talking to this girl and she actually was offended that I used the word fucking (not sexual in this context) in my conversation. I think I was more shocked that she was offended than she was shocked because of my cursing.

Well about eight months, a couple ounces of weed, and a several gallons of beer later this same shy, sweet, innocent girl came up to me and said, "Hey joe! Do you want to buy some liquid LSD?"

Ah, college.... :)

For some reason... That story actually make me sad.

I hate people who keep asking me to join their sorority. I walked by the same girl about 4 times and each time she asked me.

At my school, its impossible to make friends unless you live in the dorms...

At my school, during "rush week", you're not even supposed to tell the rush-ees what sorority you're in. I'm not in a sorority, it just doesn't really interest me that much, but my best friend (she lives 2 doors down the hall from me) was having to cut out little pieces of paper to put over every single picture inside their sorority house, because they had to cover all the pictures of the girls so the rush-ees couldn't see them.

And also, yeah, at my school too, it's easier to befriend others if you live in a dorm.

Well, sounds like a. . .fun. . .school, Neko. . .But hey, at least you feel pretty smart, eh?? So, there's always that.

I can't wait for college. I don't plan on drinking, I don't plan on being a man-skank, I don't plan on going out often, I don't plan on partying to much, I don't plan on smoking weed (often >.> <.<), and I plan on going somewhere with my life.

Oh, I also plan to keep my animal virginity, so no horse fucks.

Where's the fun in that, H2orowe?!?!

My little sister goes to college next year, and I am truly scared for her. She is the most naive and innocent person I know, and I can totally see her getting corrupted, and I don't want that to happen to my baby sister! Get this--She hasn't even had her first kiss yet, and she's 17. She probably thinks I'm the town whore or something, compared to her. She went to an after-prom part last year and saw weed and teenagers drinking alcohol for the first time, and she apparently stood in the corner freaking out the whole time. College is going to certainly be a surprisingly event for her.

... well I'm going to a community college right now. Seems alright at the moment as there are no sudden surges of homework to speak of. Though I fear the worst whenever I do go to more advanced classes. If I have to do absurd amounts of homework, I don't know if I can succeed.

I learn better from lectures... ugh...

The fun in that?! I'm a party guy, sometimes, I just don't want to drink. Long history of alcoholism in my family, alot of irresponsible people. Hell, I bet alcohol had alot to do with my birth.
My mom's boyfriend, biggest jackass/douchebag/jerk-off ever, is a major alcoholic.
He drinks from sunrise til pass out.
It pisses me off. And I hope he dies, after he (if he does) marry my mom, so we can get his life insurance money. I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever eeeeeeeeeeeeever wish anyone death, besides this stupid mother fucker, I hate his guts, I wish I could personally just murder him, and smear his face in blood, and ahh! God! I just get so pissed off, any time he walks through the room, I tense up, as if I'm going to fight.

Well, just pretending that h2orowe said nothing, I'm either going to Texas A&M or the USAF Academy, but I'm worried about the Academy because it seems like every other day there's a new scandal about evangelical Christians harassing people and sexual harassment crap...it's especially worrisome since I'm Atheist and I would be a target :(

My school is retarded... They have (and enforce) the no drinking, no opposite sex in your room with the door open past 11pm, community service rules... It sucks, but its a really good education and there are off campus frats that ALWAYS have parties... but if we get caught drunk in our dorms we get cited... 3 citations and you're PERMANENTLY expelled...

Eek.

I lived in the dorms for 3 years in college and had a lot of fun there. I was the last person to move into my room freshmen year because I was late getting back from Australia. It looked like I was going to miss the whole first week, but I ended up just missing orientation weekend. I was up talking with one of my roommates that first night when the guy across the hall knocked on our door wanting to know if we wanted to play quarter bounce with him. That was kind of a fun introduction to dorm life.

I lived in the honors dorm, so it may not have been quite as wild as some of the other dorms, but we had a few parties. The people in our dorm all generally got along and hung out together. If you stayed up late, there was usually somebody up with their door open, and if you wandered the halls, you might stop for a visit. We didn't have rules about people of the opposite sex being in your rooms (or if we did, they weren't enforced). They did enforce the rules about having alcohol in the hallways. That wasn't allowed, even if you were 21. It was okay if you kept it in your rooms, though, with the door closed.

The people in my dorm were very active in a lot of organizations and many of us loved to play intramural sports. One year, the top 3 residence hall football teams were all from my floor. We also had our own sand volleyball court in the courtyard which we used when the weather was nice (September and April here in Michigan).

I knew a lot of people who couldn't wait to move out of the dorms and into an apartment, but I liked dorm life. I think it might have helped that my dorm room was like a small apartment, with 2 bedrooms, a living room and a full bathroom.

Damn, my college sucks :/

Nearly everyone there is stuck up about the way they look or how intelligent they are, they're ok to me and my mates but y'know, you can just tell the assholes from the rest of the crowd. ;p

There's a growing list of people who are cool though, should get bigger with the first year students coming on Thursday...

Someday, when I'm in pre-med, I want to be that drunken, vomit covered guy who informs women of their hotness. That is, of course, only if dreams really do come true.

and whats with the stupid alcohol laws? no beer under 21? you poor poor americans.

a friend of mine got a job as an assistant teacher in a college near Chicago, do you have any tips for her?

If he/she visits Chicago, come during the summer. We got the taste of Chicago and lots of other little events. Its really nice....well except for this little incident outside of the Taste one night. But other than that its all good.

I actually dont plan on going to a college. Im going to take college courses in the Army so I wont really get the "college experience". Dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing really .

Take your college courses in the military, but use those as a way into a college. What good is the GI Bill if you don't ulitize it? The only downside to the Montgommery Bill is if you fail a class, your money, all of it, is gone and can't be used.

Yeah thts freshman college life things get either alot more interesting or boring as time goes on lol believe me ull see more fucked up shit than tht in your college career. But dont pay too much to whats going on freshman year its usually bullshit tht freshman do due to the fact they dont live at home anymore when sophmore year comes around it really starts. I mean i can walk around campus and pick out freshman walking around they fucking gleam and beam liek the fuckign sun. The drudgery and contempt for useless classes hasnt sunk in yet :P

True...but it doesnt really matter. Here in Illinois the have the VA bill or something like that. $36,000 for college :D. If I use the G.I. bill I get to keep it all for myself . But to tell the truth I might stay in the army as a career depending on how it goes. College in just going to be a backup incase I have to leave early.

I don't even plan on going to college some where away from home. I rather stay here and go to a junior college or something. I mean, i can get wasted and high here for less money, why go move in to a shitty dorm for like 40k?
