What do you mean "Japanese sounding"? Do you mean the kind of music they play in clubs? Using Japanese lyrics? Using Japanese instruments? Or music performed by Japanese artists?

Using some japanese instruments in the background. Something of a japanese touch to it, or asian touch..

I can't think of something that precisely fits what you're talking about. Japanese techno artists like Ken Ishii and Takkyu Ishino sometimes use samples or beats that vaguely sound like they could be traditional Japanese. Like maybe in Ken Ishii's Extra? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=px1M4upzLUk&search=ken%20ishii)

EDIT: Oh, I remember one now in my music list. Alfredo Casero made a remix of "Shimauta" by The Boom. It might be something along the lines of what you're looking for, but I dun like it too much (skip the first 4 minutes or so to get to the "dance remix" part. You don't want to see him singing -_-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgmEaeDvFYo&search=casero

Japanese techno artists like Ken Ishii...

Weird. I have a Ken Ishii CD here. And one from Towa Tei. Hm, must have bought them years ago, but I was never interested in that kind of music (or Japan, at that time)

Anyway, the only thing that came to mind is Missy Elliot's Get Ur Freak On, tho it only has tiny, tiny bits of Japanese in it.

Most Japanese techno artists (intelligently) use English samples because club music isn't half as popular in Japan as abroad, and because sampling J-Pop is below even the most mediocre of quality standards.

Just pick up a copy of Dance Dance Revolution. I'm sure you'll find something.

Try to find a instrumental version of RollerGirl's Geisha Dreams (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuLesIWPsgs) :P
