mine's Pink Floyd. you cant top songs like comfortably numb, have a cigar, and money...u just cant. also Dave Gilmour is pretty much the sweetest guitarist of all time...maybe...if you exclude Jimmy Page...
Just curious: did you actually save any time by hitting "ur" instead of spelling out "your"?

I agree with you that Pink Floyd is basically the best group ever. I have 6 of their CDs, and I love the movie THE WALL. The reason I wanted to learn how to play the guitar is so I could play some classic rock songs, and I can kind of play "Money", "Welcome to the Machine", and "Wish You Were Here". Grateful Dead, Led Zepplin, and the Beatles are some of my other favorite classic rock groups.
Also. What Kwizard said.
Floyd's good, but these days I find myself mostly listening to Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, in that order.

I happen to listen to BENNIE K a lot. They're a Japanese urban group consisting of 2 females; One sings, the other raps. They compliment each other nicely, which is weird, considering that the rapping is pretty bad :P

All time? Metallica.
Recently I've been into a lot of what is classified as emo I suppose, and other music generally lighter than what I grew up on.
Sampling of recent CDs purchased:
Angels and Airwaves
Hinder
Theory of a Deadman
Blue October
AFI
Nonpoint
Thousand Foot Krutch
Few others... I usually just go on buying sprees once a month or so and pick up 10 or 12 CDs at a time.

KISS.
Beastie Boys.
The Godfather of Soul, James Brown.
Linkin Park.
Dr. Dre.
Snoop Dogg.
Cypress Hill.
Those are all of my favourite bands. I can't choose just one, because I like a different one of those bands more than the others every other day.

I don't listen to bands.
I have ascended this mortal plane of existence you call "mundane" music.
:meditate:
So what do you listen to then, oh grand master of music? The utmost heavenly choirs of the celestial sphere, and the darkest and most sublime cacophony of the abyss?
As for the question, if by band you mean 4-5 dudes playing traditional instruments, i'll probably say Megadeth.

I LOVE trance too, Jethro! I like all kinds of techno, but hard trance and vocal trance are probably my favorite. Have you heard of DJ Dawn? She's really obscure, but she's AMAZING.

You will have to forgive me if I mislabeled her project, but I'm not deep in the techno scene so I have no idea what the difference between trip hop, trance, house or blah blah is. I've heard her refered to as pop/trance.
Anyways, she rules. Writes all her music too.

Oh man, she's a hard one to categorize...house or trance? Sounds like a trance intro but progresses into a more house beat...then into pure J-pop when she starts singing. Overall sounds very similar to one of Ayumi Hamasaki's "Trance" remixes (ayu-trance).
Nice song anyway.
And I too love trance, especially when driving or...ahem...under the influence of tetrahydrocannabinol. And for dancing to at clubs. For those who like it, do you have any specific kinda trance you like? For example, my sister likes trance, but mainly vocal trance, which I kinda dislike.
Astral Projection is prob my fav trance DJ. I'd love to hear them live.
However, I prefer house music for just regular listening.

I really don't know anything about it, other than I seem to love KOTOKO. I found her through "I've sound", which she was a part of along with a bunch of other japanese trancelets. Beyond her I listen to Pendulum, and ace warrior/jstorm (you guys might know those groups from initial D or DDR)

I've begun listening to Hope of the States and I'm really getting addicted to them. My favourite tracks so far is 'Static in the Cities' and 'The Black Amnesias'. They've quickly gone up in the list of my fav. bands.

Foo Fighters. No question.
Everyday, they are pretty much all I listen to. I have over 120 songs done by them, and over 8 hours of pure Foo. They have an awesome history too.

Pink Floyd (yes, but everything before -and including- Dark Side of th Moon)
Queen, especially the first albums too.
Cake. Because Cake = awsomeness.
Krafwerk.
Björk, because she's the only godess that could make me doubt of my radical atheism.
Blur, they explored many styles. With talent. And also weird song too, tho.
And other stuf I forgot.
