Tell me if I missed any, accidentaly added a character that was never playable, or misspelled anything. Although I'm fairly certain everything is correct.

I can't remember any Remy. I must have overlooked him :o. And you said he was in SF3? Man, I haven't played that one much. I guess that's the only SF game he was in?

But yeah. Guile and Charlie I use a lot in any SF game but even more so in MvC2 because they are not just good to use but they both have not 1 but 2 exploits.

One of them being that if you time it right and have quick fingers you can initiate a special upon the enemy and it would be impossible for the opponent to block against it. This is even more damaging if you keep in connecting with your teamates specials. When I used to play in MvC2 tournaments in the 8th grade this exploit was actually banned from competition. Anyone who is caught doing it gets disqualified. Hehe.

The other exploit I guess I'll keep to myself :D. Let's just say it involves a high air-combo and doing a special that the enemy cannot block against. Ummm, This can only be done with Charlie even though Guile is alike it's still not possible with him.

Character-wise, I like Fei Long a lot. I mean, he's basically Bruce Lee... what's not to love? He's pretty crappy as far as fighting skill goes, though...

I always got a kick out of Vega, for some reason. He's a darn good fighter if you know what to do with him as well.

And as far as the old reliables go, I'll take Ken over Ryu any day. They're similar enough (at least in the early games--haven't played the later ones), but Ken has some beach-bum style, whereas Ryu is just... constipated. :P

EDIT: Ah, yes. I forgot about Sakura. She r0x.

Neither did Joe, the kickboxer from the original game. The single most useless character ever. Seems to be a bad trend for kickboxers in Street Fighter.

There was an official statement that he was gay once, and although Capcom seems to have abandoned it, I don't recall them ever officially revoking it. Also, he's only ever been shown liking women sexually once, in Capcom Fighting Evolution, which isn't official. I've read this on various Canon sights and on the Street Fighter Wiki section.

Also, Capcom likes using stereotypes. A big hairy gay guy that you'd never expect to be gay is a stereotype.

I think it's safe to say that it's more than your average rumour.

Fun Fact: Dan Hibiki's fighting style is Saikyou-ryuu, meaning "The Strongest Style". It is comprised of elements from Muay Thai and Ansatsuken(He was, after all, Gouken's first student. Ryu and Ken came later).

Man! I need to play some SF, I think I'm gonna pick up aniversary edition or whatever it's called.
You see, I've only played SF2 (original, and the one where you could be the same character and also play the 4 boss characters for SNES) for SNES, I rented the kid one, whatever it was called, and some sort of Alpha one, when I was like 7 but I don't remember those, and I'm only 15 >.< hahaha. The only other SF games I've played were like, SF VS. X-MEN, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, Capcom Vs. SNK 2, and Capcom Vs. SNK2 EO.

You know, Karin matches are the only times I can stand to watch A3 match vids. Well, her and Dhalsim. She's just one of those characters that adds a nice amount of flashiness that makes certain matches much more enjoyable than they should be.

Expecialy when you consider it was made for PS2. They could have fit a lot more on that disk. :(

I haven't seen all of the TV series, but I saw like til I think, Ryu turned evil, and I missed the Dhalsim one (Damn it! Hadouken!) but like I loved it. I just hated the fucking dub! Arr! Yang is pretty useless. Yun is the top tier Lee brother. A lot of people consider him to be the best character from SF3:TS, along with Urien(Aegis Reflector), Oro(Yagyou Dama, Tengu Stone, alt. moves), and Gill(Seraphic Wing). Chun-Li and Ken are probably next in terms of power. I prefer Oro and Urien, myself.

Necro is fun to use and an OK fighter, but nothing to bring to a tournament.

A lot of people consider him to be the best character from SF3:TS, along with Urien(Aegis Reflector), Oro(Yagyou Dama, Tengu Stone, alt. moves), and Gill(Seraphic Wing). Necro is fun to use and an OK fighter, but nothing to bring to a tournament.

Yang's the only character with whom I didn't have to use a continue against Gill. Besides, I don't believe in tiers; I pride myself on using characters that few others do.

Typically a character's tier goes up if someone wins or does well with him/her in a tournament. Though there are also the tiers that are kind of built into the game, like the SF3 characters Citizen mentioned. The character Twelve on the other hand would be bottom tier since he's really hard to master, and a good Elena player can utterly annihilate him.

I really like Hibiki, but she's very hard to master/use. Her special moves look the best in the game but are the hardest to pull off(makes sense), yet; for some odd reason, they don't do much damage at all.

I don't get it! That is unfair and illogical. They don't reward you at all!

Well Hibiki is a character worth using and certainly respected among CvS2 and Last Blade players, due to her powerful attacks as you said. The problem with Twelve is that many of his moves are out-prioritized by most of the other characters, especially Elena.

This is true until you run into a person of equal skill. Then you get power-raped unless you pick a character that can match the one they pick. :D

Granted that it's still more fun to use who you like. That goes for every game.

The standards of the general competitive fighting game public, for the most part. Some characters are programmed to be faster and/or stronger, but that doesn't mean they'll always be top tier.

It's a characters moveset, combos, ability to link different things, cancel out of moves, and how well they can get attacks in(this goes back to the Remy thing, where it sucks playing as a character with moves that are easy as hell to parry), etc.

Wha? Gill's banned. God Tier is Yun/Ken/Chun-Li, right below them is Makoto/Urien. Dudley's around there as well, and Ryu too probably.

I agree with you that Chun-Li and Ken beat Ryu, and that Yun is top tier. Although, as far as I'm concerned, a person who's mastered Urien or Oro should be able to beat someone who's mastered Chun-Li or Ken. And yeah, Dudley is up in 2nd or 3rd tier.

That's the main thing about tiers. Mostly up to opinions and preferrences. Mostly.
