As in famous people you idolise just a little too much. Or desire very strongly to be like. Or what have you.

I really didn't want to step in man, but seriously... Chill out. Not all Republicans think gay marriage is a bad thing, not all Republicans think being gay will send you to Hell, and basically not all Republicans are evil. There are the worst on both sides... Democrats are certaintly not angels.

And America, although a melting pot of culture, is primarily a Christian nation. Don't blame them for having these types of beliefs when they have been preached for so many centuries. Sure it is time for change, but as we have all seen through history, change takes time. Times are changing, trust me. Gays are being accepted more and more into society.
