Does anybody here watch LOST? It really is a wonderful show. I'd love to talk about any plot theories that any of you have.

I love the show. Its great. Seriously one one the best TV shows since Buffy.
But as of right now, I don't have very strong theories as to whats going on.
I don't think they are dead/its purgatory. Thats weaksauce.

Wow I was wondering if anyone else liked the show. I passed it off as another piece of crap at first, but then I saw some of the later episodes... I was impressed.
I'm glad they're re-running the series again. I'm confused about those monsters, though...

Yeah, it's actually been confirmed by the powers that be that they are not dead/in purgatory. I've got ideas, but no solid theories. I'm a regular at the ABC LOST board, and we have talked all possibilities to death. The new season starts 09/21/2005. I can't wait. Who's your favorite character on the show? Mine is Sayid. LOST, 24 and The 4400 are the only things even worth watching anymore. I'm hoping that Invasion will live up to all the hype.

Sayid is awesome. I like soliders, though, since they take control of the situation in order to ensure survival. I also like the fat dude... I forget his name. He's funny and made a golf course. :D
Lost is a show on ABC. It comes on when the sitcoms usually start. Someone remember the day because my brain is focused on dates before the 16th century at the moment. x.x

LOST is an ABC show that is starting its second season on 09/21. It's about a plane that broke up in mid air and crashed on a deserted island. There are 48 survivors, and they realize before long that they aren't alone on the island after all. I don't even know how to begin describing it, except to say that my best guess would be that it's a sci-fi show. Nobody's really even too sure about that. The whole first season comes out on DVD 09/06, and I would recommend getting that and watching before you start season 2. It's the kind of show that you have to watch every second of so that you can understand the rest of it. If you go to www.abc.com and find the link for LOST, you can read episode guides and such that will give you a better idea of the basic story line.

Fave character sfor my would be Sawyer and Hurley.
I have the biggest hetero-man crush on Sawyer. I swear, I'd kill for a body like his. Really. Tell me who you want rubbed out and when, I'll do it. Just give me those abs.
New season is the 21st?
NOOOOO
I thought it was the 11th. :(

Sawyer and Hurley are so funny. I just loved the episode where Sawyer calls Sayid Captain Fillaphel (sp?). I laughed so hard, I almost peed myself.

I caught the first couple of episodes, missed bunches, then caught another one, missed more, caught the last episode. While I thought the first episode was great... the show nosedived considerably from there.
There's great character work, but there's no plot progression, no story. From the first episode to the last, what happened? I could say exactly what happened, but I don't want to spoil it for the people here who may want to check it out...
But needless to say, that last episode, the monster is some kind of machine, and it's probably aliens. Or steampunked pirates. Neither one have been nixed by the production staff like dinosaurs, purgatory and time travel have been, and with what's been shown, that's my best guess.
Of course, that said, next time the monster shows itself, there'll be different sound effects and stuff that'll suggest otherwise.

Really? I feel like the story moved along rather nicely. If you didn't catch all of the episodes, then it would be hard to explain how there were lots of developments through out the first season that will lead up to some pretty climatic moments in the second. I think they did an awesome job of giving us enough info to keep us from getting frustrated, but kept back just enough to keep us intrigued. The first season's purpose was to set up the players, the game will really take off in season two.
