Well here in the USA the video game series Armored Core is pretty under ground. I heard in japan its almost as big as halo is this true?

No, this is not true. It's got a very solid following in Japan, but nowhere *near* Halo-level of sales.

Hehe.
I remeber the good Armored Core that came out when I was like in the 6th grade.
After the first one it got pretty weak IMO.

Armoured Core is not underground... just not many "Non-Gamers" hear about it... anyone with a PS2, and has been to the Best Buy Video Game aisle will have heard of it. I personally like the game.

Ya I'm raven since '00. Nobody I know knows about AC.

Well, aside from the expansion packs, it sells a couple hundre thousand units every release (though that number has declined with every iteration), so there is a relatively large following, but not so large that it's likely everyone knows what it is.

Armored Core: Nexus finally implemented dual analog stick control. Is it me, or can anyone say "IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME!!"
I haven't bought Nexus yet, though I plan on at least renting it in the future. The only Core game I've got right now is AC2, and I've went and flattened every opponent up through the Nine Breaker. Some of the newcomers coming to take my title are rather challenging though, even with an AC of absurd power like Azrael.
Yes.
I named it that long before I'd even heard of this site. Contrast '01 to '05, if you will.

Man I used to love AC man. I stopped playing a couple years ago though cause after I got so far It just became boring (plus I got tired of kick my brother's ass at it :D ). And nobody I knew played it so after single player I had no challengers in MP.
lol mario party games sells over millions.

Actually, if you're only counting US sales, they don't. Come damn close, though :D

I've got AC2, AC2:AA and AC3. I'd get Silent Line and Nexus, but some tosspot decided not to bother releasing them in the UK.

:p i use to track game sales and stuff when I was in a gamespot forums. I'd see japanese software and hardware sales too. The things in the top 5-10 we're pretty funny from american standards.
Like mario party for example :P

Shit, I just beat AC: Nexus evolution disc. The game is solid and the full use of the Dual Shock analog is sweet. But unlike the previous titles you arn't overwhelmed in psrts.

my cuz had all the armored core's for the PS2, and I had the original ones. They were pretty okay... recently I bought a copy of AC2 for seven bucks and my first thought was "yeah, no wonder it was so cheap..."
