You know, all the stuff that Az said in his editorials, or that was published in "The Game", or any of the myriad of 'pickup' pieces/books out there are not saying anything revolutionary. To anyone with a rough understanding of the human psyche, it all comes under the category of 'common sense'.

You don't need to be a 'pickup artist', or even have a ton of dating experience to understand how people work - and therefore how seduction works.

'The Game' is a mind game, or possibly a meme. Every time that you remember you're playing the game, you automatically lose, and you have to tell everyone around you (which makes them lose too). It's particularly popular at British universities, but it's also well known elsewhere.

It's almost certainally not the same game that the original poster was talking about ('seduction community'? 'pickup artist'? wtf?), but because I lost I felt the need to tell everyone else.
