I was choosing which forum to put this is, but since i think its a serious problem i would post i here.

Right foot has been well kinda weird lately, first of all the area around my little toe on the bottom of my foot is pealing as is the webbing between in, but its not like normal peaoling since its only happening there, on the side of my foot (little toe side) just before the foot connects with the little toe its growing little bumps, they looked kind of like pimples but where harders, so i popped one and oil came out, no blood just oil.

Im thinking this is just because im not bare footed as much as i would be in Australia, and that im wearing socks and shoes alot more, but i dont know, im hoping its nothing serious, i might go buy some foot cream next weekend if it gets any worse.

Any ideas what it could be?

Go see a foot doctor. Seriously. It could be something minor, but it's better to be sure.

It's quite easy to pick up infections by going barefoot, when i was younger i had warts all the time, i even got a fungus once wich needed 2 x 14 shots. Just go see the doctor and you'll be ok.

Oh is it summer over there?
If it is do this daily:

1. take a part of garlic, you know one of the parts, cut it in half so it has a tip, rub that (garlic juice) in between your toes, it might hurt a bit.
2. Wash your feet with water and soap, in between :)

Yeah its summer.

I just got out my cleansing wipes i use to get oil and dirt off my face (I used to have alot of pimples) and wiped down my feet and dried them with some tissues, im going to see if this has any effect, im just now doing some re-search all the pictures of google seem to be alot more severe then mine.

I might pop around to the local pharmacy and see what they recommend...its gonna be a hard day considering i know nothing in Japanese for doctors, time to pull out my survival japanese book i guess.

EDIT

My host mother just gave me some cotton buds with disenfectic (SP?) on them i went over all the areas with them and put on a clean pair of socks, im going to walk to the convience store on a few hours and pick up some anti-bacterial cream or something like that in order to give my feet some protection, i might go see the school nurse for free consultation at school.

If you spent most of your time growing up barefoot, this is almost to be expected. Wearing socks and shoes softens your feet. your skin down there may not be used to the moist heat. Definately see a podiatrist for a remedy for this issue.

Well i decieded since my host brother was going out that my best bet was to go with him since the convience store is on the way and he could help me get some anti-bacteria stuff.

Well for 500Yen i got myself a nice nifty spray of Anti-Bacteria for Hands and Feet, i just gave it a try, we shall see how it progresses tomorrow, before i go see the nurse.

I used to have what sounds exactly what you describe. It was some kind of athlete's foot-related fungal thing. After wearing sandals (and getting some cream from the doc) it disappeared within the month.

I agree with gyoza, because I was just about to say it sounded like athlete's foot to me before I saw his post.

It doesn't sound too serious. The spray you bought will probably work.

Post pics. If you're not comfy with that, and don't want everyone seeing your gross feet, PM them.

I'm a wrestler. I've seen manymanymany skin issues.

Im sorry about the picture quality, its kinda hard to use a camera designed for distance shots on my feet. Im not ashamed of putting pictures of myself up, specially because its for health.

I've had a series of Foot related problems, Severs Dieses and Broken Toes, though this is the first time ive been worried.

As you can see there is a light peeling

You can also see that the skin is more tender where the skin has already peeled, but im assuming thats because its not the top layer of skin.

I think it's most likely fungal; looks like mine when I had it. See a doctor just to be sure though.

How long has is persisted? I had some peeling/itching/flaking in my toes that looked similar about 20 years ago. In my case it went away on it's own.

No itching i'll tell ya that, and it doesnt hurt or bother me unless i directly touch it, but no pain at all.

It feels a bit softer since i put the spray on it, so i think thats a good sign.

Whoops, i cant tell you how long but its maybe been a few weeks (4 at max)

i have a foot problem .. been like ... 4 years living with it... i really should see a doctor about it, lol.... I'm sure it's fungal. I tried normal athletes foot sprays/cremes but they didn't work. It isn't just between my toes but in certain parts in other places of my foot. I kinda learned to get used to it but it still bugs sometimes. I'll try and make an appointment with a doctor when i'm not so busy.

I thought i would get a picture up of the pimply little things on the side of my feet, they dont irratate me when i walk with shoes on, but they do tingle a bit when i run my finger over them.

Athlete's foot doesn't always itch or burn (I know it never does for me unless I touch it or stretch it).

Get a mild anti-fungal cream. Use it for at least as long as it says on the package. It's like antibiotics that way; it can look like the infection's cleared up, when really, it's just hiding.

Well im home from school today because its a half day and i dont need to take any of the exams. Since i started using the Spray i purchased and then before going to bed and before putting shoes on etc i wipe them down with Detol Wipes (Cleaning Wounds/Surface wipes) and the skin that is pealling has gotten softer, and it looks as if it has gotten remotly better, but im gonna keep this cycle going for about 3 weeks, if it hasnt shown ALOT of improvement i will see a doctor or if it starts to get worse i will seek a doctor out straight away.

More on this compelling story as we get info.

I think mine is different. I never got pimple like things. I only got rough and cracking/peeling skin.

I think they might just be weird blisters, since they made me wear proper school shoes which i never do at home (i wear a school uniform YES! but i wear Black and Green Emerica shoes which = The Comfort) Im thinking i may ask for permission to wear them for awhile.

How sad is it when people turn to the outpost9 forums for medical advice?

Seriously dude, wrong place to ask.

Yeah but i was out of options, i would have gone to a doctor but i didnt want to trouble my family and since in another post i already stated im low on cash i didnt want to borrow money (not that im to proud to do it, just because i didnt want to.)

I probably could have gone to a medical forum or something, but i just didnt the quickest thing possible.

It looks like a form of eczema. I had it once on my hands when I was a kid because I caught it from my brother-in-law. For many people, it’s an ongoing condition, like it was for him, but you can also catch it from coming into close contact with someone’s outbreak. You should be able to find an OTC cream treatment for eczema in most departments stores. Just to warn you, the "oil" is what spreads it, so try to avoid popping the pustules, because you can get it on your hands. Also, don’t wear anyone else’s shoes, even with socks; you can spread it to them. Best thing to do is get the cream and put it on at night, then wear clean, white, cotton socks to bed. It should clear up pretty quickly, but if it’s hereditary, you may keep having flare-ups.

Okay, I have had ezcema all over my body, and studied it in several textbooks. That is not ezcema.

Ezcema is not contageous. It is a type of dermatitis. Some types of dermatitis are contageous. Ezcema is not.

The only way that ezcema can spread person-to-person is if it is caused by an irritant that is still present on the first person, who spreads that irritant to the second person. Ezcema in and of itself is not contageous.

Just now i realised there seem to be some kind of red dots (maybe 10-12) appearing near the area before the webbing between like little toe and the next toe, they once again dont itch or hurt.

No medical forums even gave me a reply (i posted on about 4).

EDIT

Well turns out that the man above our apartment is a GP, so my host mother went and got him, turns out i may have either Athletes foot or Tinia (Sp?) and that he recommends Ointment and to see a foot doctor, he gave us a recommendation, i gave him and his wife Kangaroo Keychains.
