There was an awesome Daffy Duck WWII cartoon on some old 12 hours of cartoons video tape.

Depsite most of it being just outright ridiculous and inaccurate, I have to admit that I about died of laughter just from "Happy cherry blossoms to you".

If someone said that to me right off the street I would probably (literally) die.
Just from the sheer ridiculousness.

Mm funny, I'd never seen the full version of this. Poor Donald ;)

"Historically inaccurate?" Uh dudes, it's a cartoon.Yes, I'm pretty sure the US soldiers didn't have rubber rafts that can stretch to three million times their original size, or paratroopers who could outrun avalanches ;)

My family totally learned all their Japanese from watching American cartoons like this one. Even though I've been studying the language for a really long time, I'm amazed how occaisionally they'll hit me with something along the lines of, "Hey! what am saying:
'Kateebachee*EGGFOOYOUNG*NAGASAKImookee*CHING*Waii iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii YA!!!'"

:bang: .

I have the Donald Duck one on the Chronological Donald Vol. 2 set, along with a few other war time cartoons.

Leonard Maltin makes sure to cover his ass by warning everyone that some of the thing depicted could be offensive to some viewers, but they should take into account that this was America's attitude towards the enemy at the time.
