Heh, I'm in a bad mood today, so I'm kinda venting through music/sleeping/talking to people.
What are some good bands you suggest? Lesser known ones.
Recover-Awesome Indie/emoish
Sparta- Even more Awesome Indie/emoish
Head Automatica- Rock/Electronica (It's the singer of Glassjaw's band)
Piebald- Awesome Indie/emoish but they're like a funny band.

Dude, Sparta is suck an awesome band. 'Cut your ribbon' was so fantastic, everytime it was on the radio I cranked it, even if it wasn't my car. There is no way to avoid it's power! Kick it to some Misfits, there is never a bad time for some Misfits. Or... *looks around* you could listen to Portishead. Freakin' great!

Dude! Sparta like got me through the shitty day today....
Misfits are allways awesome, cept new stuff is meh.
I just love Danzigs voice dude, he's like 5'4 or something but he has such a cool manly voice.
I saw Sparta live at the House of Blues in Anaheim! It was my first concert, it was so awesome. I'm listening to them right now.
Breaking the Broken. -.- my brother got his Sparta CDs stolen.

Well I don't think they are very underground but....
Misfits
Their good when you want to take some anger out... Even better when your about to fight someone.

Man, that is so cool you got to see them in concert! I almost got to see Rage Against the Machine in concert. ..... but then they broke up! :( I suppose that is just the way things go sometimes. Silverchair is a band I haven't listen to in forver but were good. Same thing with old Deftones. Not White Pony, but Around the Fur and Adrenaline

Alot of Seattle bands are really great as well. Death Cab for Cutie, the Blood Brothers, Schoolyard Heroes, and the Hot, Hot Heat (actually, they are from Victoria, but that is close enough, right?)

Portishead is an amazing band. I wish they'd release a new album.
Bands I would recommend (that no one will probably check out anyway):
Corrupted - Heaviest band EVER. This band blows my mind on a regular basis. They're from Osaka. However, for some strange reason, they sing most of their songs in Spanish. None of the band members are Spanish. Regardless, I cannot recommend this band enough. Not for those with short attention spans, though: they play VERY SLOW, VERY LONG songs for the most part. www.dxmxtx.com/corrupted
Monarch - Another slow, heavy band, from France. They have a female vocalist, they love Sanrio products, and their music could kill small animals and children. They have one album out. It's three songs on two CDs. www.myspace.com/monarchuberalles
Khanate - Yet ANOTHER slow, heavy band. (That IS, after all, pretty much my favorite stuff.) Some of the most deranged vocals you'll ever hear. Kind of sounds like what must run through an insane serial killer's mind. If they used their stuff as the soundtrack for a horror movie, people would be pissing themselves. www.ideologic.org (homepage of their guitarist; check out sunn 0))) and Lotus Eaters while you're at it).
Bohren und der Club of Gore - From Germany, another slow, heavy band (but not in the traditional sense). They use a Fender Rhodes, upright bass, saxophone and drums, and they call themselves "horror jazz." The image that most comes to mind when I hear them is classic noir-film style: black-and-white, trenchcoats with upturned collars, dark and rainy nights, gangsters and old cars. www.bohrenundderclubofgore.de
There are so many more I could mention, but I'll stop now before I bore you any further.

I remember hearing about Narco songs. Slow beautiful songs in Spanish about crimes and drugs. Does anybody know the name of any Narco groups? Or a mariachi group that has tons of bass in it. I always really wanted to roll with that playing.

Portishead is my secret band. They fly under the radar, so I am reluctant to tell people about them. They are so good, and I don't want them to be well known, just something that you speak about with cloak and dagger. Cause they really are special. Like Mc 900 foot jesus, and the song, The City Sleeps.

Not much for Chevelle anymore. I don't really like the direction they've taken recently. Though I still listen to Point #1 and think it's a great record.

I love your secret. Especially their live album...
and as far as band/performer recommendations, I think that everyone needs to go listen to some Peaches. You don't have to like her... but you at least have to listen to some of her songs.

Sounds the same to me. Maybe a little better produced, but pretty much the same.

Haha, I've not heard that name in a long time. 900 Foot Jesus isn't so much under tha rader as he is unpopular. Hell, they played some of his stuff on MTV, back when MTV wasn't 100% trash. He comes close to a Vanilla Ice level of suck. :D
Anyways, I'd reccomend classic rock, hard rock, and metal.
Blue Oyster Cult
Deep Purple
Rush
Dio
Iron Maiden
The Stones
Sabbath
Sweet
Rainbow
Led Zeppelin
etc.

Guitar Vader's pretty decent. Decent enough, atleast, to be the only Japanese musical act I can honestly say I like.
I'm also really high on Ensiferum who have a sort of folkish, fantasy metal thing. Really good band.

I have never heard any song other than 'The city Sleeps'. I think it is really a great song, even if his others weren't. Same applies to King Missile and the song 'Detachable penis'. Never heard anything else from them, but I love that song. Not many people know that one either.

Rammstein/Megaherz. (As if I would say anything else?)
No, you're wrong.
What you have there is a / between the two bands, which denotes "Rammstein OR Megaherz".
What you want is an & sign between the two bands.

1. Portishead. My eldest brother got me hooked on most of the music he listened to. Thus whilst others my age were contaminated with the tarts of pop, I had these guys, Pink Floyd, Placebo, Queen, the Stone Temple Pilots etc. But Sour Times and Glory Box are permanently parked in my play list these days.
2. New Zealand music. Shihad, Evermore, the D4, the Datsuns, Goodshirt, Betchadupa, Lucid 3, The Black Seeds, Salmonella Dub, Bic Runga, Fur Patrol, the Feelers, Tadpole, Pluto..... all gorgeous, if you can find anywhere to download it.
3. Interpol, mainstream enough, but dammit, I just love them so.
4. Peaches was my anthem for a while. Until I expressed my desire at the top of my lungs to consume copious amounts of peaches infront of my mother, and she informed me it would probably give a person diarrhea or something.
5. Ween. mmm. MMMMM. They're naughty, but oh so nice. Oh, and can't forget Gomez.
6. Cindy Lauper. Time for a revival. Plus the songs Chris Cornell sung in French. Love them.
