Alright, college roll call time. Report in with your college/uni and what state/country it's in! Mascots are welcome too!

130 units and no degree? It sounds like you have ADD . . . (totally unprofessional opinion but a lot of ADDers have similar stories).

and hey, I'm not a hippie! I shave, wear orthopedically unfriendly shoes, hate bleeding heart liberals, and I've never smoked pot.

I'm originally from Brooklyn - born and bred for the first 16 years :D I'll always be a city girl.

you might be right! However, I really can't say I've regretted any of it. Life is the one garunteed experience we have. Might as well take it for all it's worth.

umm... I've got something like 63 credits through the navy for electronics and general things...

Planning on going to college in about 3 years... probably Florida State University... possibly something in CA. But I'd probably have to change my state of residence so it didn't cost to much.

I much like others in this thread have too many credits for what I have done in college. Hopeful I'll get off my lazy ass and be done by the end of 06.

I also lived in Brooklyn, only for very short time though.

Been out of college for over two years now.

I started though at CSU Sacramento. Spent two years there, then transferred to UC Davis for 3.

University of Mo, Rolla. Our sports program is so awesome we went a whole season without winning a single football game a few years ago. Not one. Don't laugh or we'll beat you senseless with a sliderule.

I am a proud Gaucho at the University of California, Santa Barbara!

Also known as the University of Casual Sex and Beer. Two activities I don't engage in. but it's great. I live on the beach! Not near the beach... on it.

And I think having the color blue for a mascot would be awesome.

Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY woooooo

We're the bombers...not sure why. We don't really have a mascot, either. I think the worst mascot I've ever heard of is the mascot of Danbury H.S. in Danbury, CT......it's a hat.

my school beats your school's football record. Last year, our varsity finally won our first game since the school opened... in 1970s. Before then, we NEVER scored any points on ANY of the games in ANY of the season. Yet we ranked #4 in Cali and #57 in the country academically. Aren't we so nerdy...

Coming up on my 20-year anniversary, but MIT. Go Beavers!

Oh yeah, then law school. Started at Georgetown but decided to leave my husband and needed to cut costs- went to George Mason University in VA- I paid about $1500 per semester for law school (night program, took 4 years- worked at the Patent Office during the day-full time- and was the single parent of a 0-3 year old during that time). So I am not sympathetic to any excuses about how people couldn't get good grades because they were working etc. Still, working, going to law school and being a single parent together was not nearly as hard as doing MIT and nothing else...

Augustana is were I went. It's a small (only 2500 students) Swedish based private college in Illinois. Go Vikings!
But, I grew up in Iowa City, IA where the University of Iowa is, and most of my friends and classmates, as well as my parents and various other family memebers went there, so I'm a huge Hawks fan :) .

Nah, I was born in Illinois, so I don't think we're related (but wouldn't that be funny?). My parents moved to IC when I was about 1, so it's home.
However, seeing as the Kuchars are from that general area (go amish!), you could be related to Ashton. ;)

The Kutcher are a different family from mine. It's kinda funny but all the family I know in Iowa consider them to be white trash. :o

My uncle owns "The Ice Cream Store" in Tiffan.

Wow, that's in-freaking-credible. You have no idea how much I admire you.

Geez, I had no idea there were some really nutty looking mascots out there. A slug? An artichoke? Who came up with this stuff?
And now for the first Canadian uni on this list!

I can beat that. See my school? We don't have a football team. You know what the big sport at my school is?

Ultimate Frisbee.

Seriously. If you ever visit UCSB, go up to a few people and ask them about our Ultimate Frisbee team. They'll rave forever about how we out Frisbee Cal.

The big deal isn't that we have it. The big deal is that is our most popular sport... or most popular team, as it were. The only thing we have to truly brag about and support as a school is Ultimate Frisbee.

EDIT: In terms of sports, I mean.

So does SC. We're Division III in almost everything. It's a little known fact but we have a fencing team. I'm just pissed b/c I used to be on it and sports like that don't get much funding b/c SC is sooooo anti-establishment

Oh, none of the UCs made hightimes.com's top ten list:
http://www.hightimes.com/ht/lounge/content.php?bid=645&aid=24

but I know that SC recently eclipses Bezerkley in terms of pot smoking. We're so proud [/sarcasm]

Since there is an artichoke for a mascot, I wonder if anyone in CA has the avocado. I <3 artichokes and avocados if nothing else about this state.

LMAO! I've heard that about the Kuchar's too! Before he became really famous, Ashton used to come home all the time to party and my friends were always like "Ashton's home!" Meh...he's not so special, we were wearing truckers hats in Iowa long before he started the trend! And what's so special about dating Demi Moore anyway? ;)
I can't tell you how many times I've by that ice cream store! I should've stopped! Maybe next time I go home I'll make a stop there (as long as it's not in the middle of winter).
BTW, I miss home :(
