The Melon Fanta post reminds me...I'm crazy for Japanese soda, ever since I tried Veggie-Beta at the Coke place in Atlanta. Although I can't quite remember if Veggie Beta was carbonated or not...the Japanese ones seemed less carbonated to begin with (actually I liked those levels the best).

Anybody know where I can get some easily in the US? Before you say "Import Store", all of our import stores are pretty much Taiwanese here and if you're not careful you can get the Taiwan version of something. Chocolate-Flavoured Pocky is NOT the same thing as Chocolate Pocky...

Like the Melon Fanta, unless you find an importer who is willing to carry it, and you don't see any stores carrying it, then you are out of luck.

Importers do tend to take special orders, but only if they are in bulk, so they can make a profit... I'm thinking about several boxes of the soda. If you have the money and willing to spend it, go for it, though I wouldn't do the same.

Dude, I'm a Gamer. We REQUIRE our refreshments...

I hadn't previously considered that before. Ordering myself...

You really don't have much options. There is no way they will sell it in America, unless you somehow spot one at a local Asian grocery, or an importer like J-list decided to carry it.

Of course, by bulk, it will be several hundreds of dollars, possibly less if the importer is willing to do so.

Hey, in the long run it would technically be saving me money anyway.

Wow, I remember trying Vegeta-Beta at the Coke-Around-The-World thing at Epcot, I enjoyed it.

Now you reminded me of it, and I miss it... ;-;

Ah well, Lychee Ramune is good too.

They carry melon fanta, calpis, aquarius... all that crap at a small japanese grocery store near my hometown in Indiana. If you're close, lol, come and get it.

I don't know what state you live in, but Beverages and More carry random things. Try World Market (also known as CosPlus) becuase they carry drinks and food from all over the world. Your best bet is a local Japanese store or Asian supermarket. Supermarket, not Import store. Like I said, I dont' know what state you're in, but in California we have HUGE Asian supermarkets that fit your needs from India to the South Pacific.

They rebranded it Calpico in America for that very reason.

Look how much more the name changed helped it sell in the US...

Anyway yeah it's kinda milky. Actually I think it has milk in it. If you've never had it, don't drink it warm. Its so disgusting warm... almost like piss, actually.
