I like OP9 but I'd like some other places to go to sometimes (not gaming related). So can people provide links to other interesting message boards? Some with some older people (I'm 41) would be nice as well.
All suggestions/links greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

www.adultswim.com
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Adultswim.com is full of 14 year old drama queens, too doped out on acid, speed, caffiene and sugar, or any combination of the four to have any sort of social life, other then bitching about "Adam sessler still thinks that Alphonse is a robot, he's a soul in a suit of metal! Duh! You can totally tell!"
They constantly berate the adultswim.com staff, and the staff at adult swim for things they have no control over, like editing out stuff. "I just watched inuyasha, and in episode 103, they clearly show sangos nipple through her shirt, and in your episode, it was gone, I hate you all."
If you want someplace where smart people abound go to infidelguy.com ONLY of you're aren't religious (especially one of the religions stemming from abraham) it's a group of extremely intelligent agnostics/atheists/philosophers, and I used to hang out there all the time.
They also have a chat room, that is the shit, because a lot of people on the forms are there.
Edit: Mispelled word

www.somethingawful.com If you're willing to spend 10 bux on a forum account(It helps keeping the idiots out, and is worth it). Just make sure to read the rules and lurk for awhile so you don't end up getting banned your first day.

I second JapanToday. The modding is excellent.

www.studio-central.com
Their forums, and also the guide by the owner tweak are really awesome. If you have any intrest in recording music, or making music with a computer, theres the place to go.
Some great posters there who will help you out, extremely friendly and knowledgable.
Anyone know any good serious discussion type forums that limit all the crap pointless posts? I need to exercise my mind a bit more.

I frequent a couple of other message boards.
bar.baen.com:8080/~bar is a website run by Baen's Books, a science fiction publisher. There are forums for movies, politics, books, and also for many of the individual authors. I think most of the regular posters are late 20s or older. There isn't a lot of spam here.
viewaskew.com/theboard/index.php is a website run by Kevin Smith's film company, View Askew. There are threads that deal with just about every conceivable topic and there are lots of regular posters. There is a wide range in ages, from kids in their midteens to people in their 50s or older. I would probably peg the median age in the mid 20s.

Brunchma. (http://www.brunchma.com/forum/index.php)
There's older people abound there. Not a large population, either, so after awhile people begin to know each other, and they meet often as well. Decent bunch, everthing from Toy store workers to strippers, to even NASA's staff show up here. But they can be as silly and snarky as anyone else, so it's not an intellectual circle-jerk.

I used to moderate short-media.com, formerly icrontic.com
I currently keep the crap quotient down as a super-mod for a large adult community based board, which is why I do not wish to post a link here.
I also use the Jref forums, good place for actual serious discussions about Japan-related issues.

It'll probably be back soon, I never replace it for long. Nothing else ever seems to match its glory. Although, for the moment, I'm pleased with my Riff Raff avatar, and the alternate one I use on AnimeLeague(since the one I use here is too big to use there).

Gaijinpot.com has excellent forums
plus its mostly older people (I haven’t seen any catz younger than 20.
They are mostly 30 + ) which I know you can appreciate ( I know I do )
