Damn. It says she used the money "mainly to pay off personal debts." What the hell did she buy that she had to embezzle almost $9.9 million to pay off???

may 93 to may 2005.

990million yen. You would think for getting lucky for 12 years and almost a billion yen she would have stopped.

These people deserve to get caught even worse.

If you hadn't guessed, I was being sarcastic (oops, that's against the rules) and juxtaposing how inefficient the Japanese bank was and how easily (and efficiently) she took them for 12 years. 12 years is a long time to be ripping anyone off.

Is juxtaposing against the rules?

12 years? Wow. I guess you eventually reach the point where you're comfortable. I mean, after the six year mark you must feel pretty confident that you're not getting caught.

And that's when you get caught.

I'd hate to have to handle the return records. The list must be painfully long, if she managed to fish a handful of people per week. It took 12 years for a customer to finally check their account and see if stuff was being deducted? I don't work in a bank, but that's a mighty good load people who aren't keeping an eye on the thing that they tend to complain most about (money).
