I saw this fantastic movie last night called 'Tae Guk Gi'. A Korean film about brothers in the Korean war. Totally recommend it to everybody. Ten million times better than the last movie I saw before that 'Charlie and the Chocolate factory', which, btw, reminded me very much of Micheal Jackson.
*chill running down spine* micheal jackson.
Anyways, watch this movie. And the movie 'Blow' which is also very good, and has Pablo Escobar in it. :)

Woa. I'm not sure what swing girls is, but 'Blow' is not a porn. It's about cocain.

Son Of Paleface
Classic Bob Hope comedy co-starring the Gorgeous Jane Russell, and The King Of Cowboys Roy Rogers. Such a fun movie to watch, and Bob is in top form for this one, hilarious

I watched a Korean movie that might've been called 'Family.' I say might've because the description on my cable tv guide described a movie that was far from what the one I watched was about... So I don't know if just the description or the name was wrong too.

The Island. That was a pretty good movie. I remember walking out of the theater like "That was pretty good" then there were like ten 12 year olds who were like "That sucked" meanwhile they were giggling like school girls during the kissing scenes.

Sin City
Seven Samurai
The Rundown
Pretty good movie. It's pretty much your basic action film, but it's executed very well, and the rock makes it worth seeing. Definitley recommended to anyone who wants a good, fun, film that doesn't require any thought to enjoy the movie.

Watched the "40 Year Old Virgin" and "Deuce Bigalow: European Gigalo" last night at the local drive-in theater. Both were funny and worth seeing, but the "40 Year Old Virgin" was a gut buster. I frequently found myself laughing out loud.

Jurassic Park III. I hate watching movies like that now, I pick them apart so much. WHY do they divery 1/6 of the US carrier fleet to rescue FIVE people off an island? And then, why do they send maybe 2 companies of Marines at most? Also, the Marines ARE PART OF THE FREAKING NAVY!!! *huff* *huff*
You guys can continue with your thread, I'm done.

Great movie! I watched it about a month ago and I loved it.
The last one I saw was Dirty Dancing Havana Nights... if the ST wasn't so good I would have probably thrown the DVD out of the window.
Just watched The Jacket - really really enjoyed it. I don't know how it has remained so underrated.

This summer I saw like pretty much every movie that played in my town's theater. Since school's started, though, I haven't been to a movie yet! On DVD though, I've watched THE LABYRINTH (I am a sucker for 80s movies), EDWARD SCISSORHANDS, and DOWN WITH LOVE.

I last watched The Sonny Chiba Collection edition of Shogun's Ninja.
Its a pretty solid ninja actioner, but I have 2 small complaints, 1. The soundtrack was too late 70s for the film, since the story takes place during Toyotomi's reign as Shogun. 2. Hiroyuki Sanada's impromptu interpretive dance number, it was only for like 2 minutes, but it was really out of place IMO.
Otherwise this was a kick ass action film with fight scenes directed by Sonny Chiba and his JAC group.

WASTE OF TIME.
I thought it was a documentary where he got someone to actually tell REAL (non scripted) ppl he was dead. Like celebrities and get their reactions. I wanted to see it.
But it was all fake and stupid and not funny at all.

Ah, how I do love thee, dijk. . .
I liked Hitchhiker's Guide as well. I like absurdism. I need to read the book, cuz I haven't and like pretty much everyone I have ever met has told me to read it, so I'm assuming it's fairly good.
BTW--who likes my new avatar?

Ellie - I like your new avatar :D
I just got done watching Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban on dvd. I've had the dvd for a while, but hadn't gotten around to watching it. The last movie I saw in the theater was An Unfinished Life and it was very good.
I thought the Hitchhiker's movie was okay, but I liked the books better. I liked this movie quite a bit more than the BBC version, though, that's for sure.
One movie I'm really looking forward to this fall (other than HP4) is the Chronicles of Narnia. The previews look excellent.

Last movie I watched was 'Flesh And The Devil,' which sounds like a creepy porn flick, but is really a silent movie from 1926 starring Greta Garbo. And boy was she evil in that movie.

I also watched Highlander: The Immortal Edition tonight. I've seen Highlander lots of times, but hadn't gotten around to watching this particular dvd from my collection until now. It was good as usual. The first time I ever saw Highlander was when I was in Edinburgh in 1989. They were showing it on the in-room movie channel at the hotel I stayed at.

I can't remember if it was "Sky High (I watched it with my little brother)," or "Madagascar."
"Sky High" was quite funny, with the "Oh God, I just made out with an old lady!" punchline, but "Madagascar" takes the cake. "Let's go meet the pansies!"

I took 5 movies out of the library today and watched the first two this afternoon. I watched Ice Princess which wasn't bad (plus it has Michelle Trachtenberg) and I watched Sandlot 2 which was good. I saw the first Sandlot movie in the theater a long time ago and this one was very similar. Neither one was particularly challenging, but they were fun. I also managed to get 2 sets of tests checked while watching them.
