Digital cable remote controls

Has anybody gotten digital cable here and had problems with the remote controls? Over a month's time each time I get a digital cable control and some or the buttons stop working on the control stops working all together. And I've tried putting in new batteries.

Try a different remote, maybe its broken or something..

That's the thing. I need a replacement for the digital cable control every few months. I've got a bunch that that are malfunctioning. I guess it's just something in my area that happens because a few of my friends had the same problem.

My house has digital cable, too, which is sometimes very cool and sometimes just sucky. We are constantly calling the company to complain about something or the other, and we currently have an inch thick, safety-orange cable cord running across our backyard, that's been there for several months and the cable people STILL haven't installed it so that it's not just laying on the ground.

That IS weird about your remote control, I dunno what to tell you on that one. It's kind of annoying to me having 5 different remotes sitting all together in the living room, and I'm not home very often so it usually takes me a few tries until I get the right remote and actually can change the channel.

Well the digital cable itself was wacky in the past for me too. The display of the shows wouldn't load, and on demand didn't work for a while. But now that seems to be ok. Now the only problem is the controls.
