That's why I call him mister 60 posts per day. He obviously has an unhealthy obsession with these forums.

Quoted for Truth. In alot of ways I think it's best not to have post counts displayed as in many cases it causes the forums to degrade to mindless e-peen contests. As such the forums lose their integrity and purpose and the overall quality of the forums suffers as a whole.

Cherried for truth.
I hate having to shift through all the crap on forums, just to find something intelligent to read.
It's all about the e-peen, and seeing if its big enough to swing around.
Spamming a forum is pointless, and just drives worthwhile threads to the bottom of the page...

I will say this...it took Jay-man a -much- shorter time to reach 800 posts this time around...
And honestly, I find that a lot of his posts have intelligent, or at least entertaining, content in it. Ditto for #2 man there.

The date joined was really only different by a day or two on all of them. It's not like they were lightyears apart in joining since the forums went up and just about everyone joined concurrently. If you check their user numbers...
Benaire: User 170
Vocab: User 58
Iekleane: User 52
Dpad: User 13
h2orowe: User 47
kokujin: User 77
Henjin: User 132
hapacheese: User 28
Fujin: User 213
Jay: User 208
For reference, I am user 375, and I joined a day or four later than most folk because I was in the middle of nowhere. Really, it's 6 of one, half-dozen of the other with the big post-count people. The quickest (dpad) joined on the same day as the slowest (Fujin). So it's a matter of hours we're talking about here.

Hm... well damn. Had no idea that looking at my post count would cause such a reaction. I certaintly am not trying to compete with my Aussie Amigo for some "e-peen" greatness... I'm just enjoying myself and trying to talk in all topics I have interest in. Yeah I post a lot, but I try to at least put something meaningful in every one of them. There are some posts of mine that can get pointless, but I would hope none of you see this way out of hand. Recently I've spent a lot of time on the computer since I am recovering from surgery and cannot go do the things I usually do. So I'm stuck here on the computer with nothing to do. So I post.
I'm not trying to compete with anyone here, so please stop trying to accuse me of doing so. That's not nice. :( I'd rather talk to my friends, but it's summer. They haven't had surgery like me and are out doing things before they start their first year of college.
Don't you all worry, my posts will start coming farther inbetween when college starts on Monday. Until then, I would like to say that if somehow my posts are making some of you angry, then I apologize. It is not my intention to portray myself as a "post whore". But really, my nonsense posting is left for the RWPW, so try not to get so worked up over it. And don't even pay attention to my post count. I certaintly am not and it's a bit offensive that I would be accused of competing in such a trivial contest.
That's all. Once again, sorry.

Fujin, don't sweat the small stuff. I'm sure most people understand, and for those that don't, it's not important. Good luck on the college stuff, and hopefully your surgery recovery speeds along nicely. Is this your first year in college also or a returning year? How old are ya? At least if you're somewhat youthful, you should have full recovery pretty easily, hehe.

honestly the more traffic the better I think. Yes it sucks when there's a big arguement/debate going and I want to be apart of it but everyone wrote so much in 5 pages....but It's better than idly waiting around for people to respond to you or for a good thread to start.

This will be my first year of college. I'm not too worried but it seems I'll be spending a lot of time in the books. Which I hate enough as it is. And I'm 18, so the surgery has healed at a relatively fast rate, but it's still taking some time. I'm starting to move a lot better so I guess something must be going right.

Yeah, definitely some studying ahead of you if you plan to apply yourself well enough. However, you'll find some of your classes rather easy and not much work involved while others will take a lot of work to do well. Either way, don't pour so much into it that you get burnt out. Be sure to balance it all and leave time for fun stuff. Hang in there with all of it.

I have no problem with people who post a lot, I have quite a few posts myself after all. Jay tends to post almost exclusively in RWPW, and when he does post in General Discussion, it is almost always on topic and substantive. That doesn't bug me. It's the people who (before there were this many posters) would go to each forum, and respond to the first 10 threads, and be the poster on every single forum, on every single thread, with some one or two sentence response. That drives me bonkers, and certainly isn't good form.
Give unto Caesar what is Caesar's, give unto God what is God's. And all that. Spam where spam belongs, serious posts where serious posts belong, and that's the dilly with that.

Yes, post-thumously does mean post-death. It was a veiled hint that if you continued to be un-funny I'd kill you and then give you a medal for being injured with un-funny spam, the injury being the one I gave you that would result in your death.
Apparently it was a tad too high-brow and subtle.

If you continue with this hilarious line of joke-making was sarcasm, because it wasn't hilarious
I will posthumously award you the purple tin for being injured in the line of spamming was a reference to the Purple Heart (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purple_heart) replacing the 'heart' with a tin (a reference to spam which is kept in a tin) for being injured for spamming. Which would be the continued joke-making.
Since I would be awarding it posthumously, he would have to die, which I would take care of in order to fulfill the promise of awarding the medal if he kept making bad jokes...
I can't believe I had to explain that...
